Last week I attended the NBCUniversal Summer Press Day and Sean Hayes was there to talk about Grimm, one of the shows he is producing. I think that the NBC show that airs Fridays at 9p is so different than anything that he has done in the past, that I was curious if he is more like Hot in Cleveland (the show he also produces on TV Land) or if he is like Grimm. He said to me, “Of course I come from sitcom world. I always say ‘even if I had nothing to do with Grimm, this would be my favorite show on network television, my favorite drama on television. I just love everything about it.” The Will & Grace scene stealer added, “I grew up on Dr Who, Star Wars and I am a big Sci-Fi geek genre nerd. So a lot of people probably wouldn’t guess that about me, but I live for it. I absolutely live for it.” So does that mean that there are more Sci-Fi shows coming from Hazy Mills Productions? He told that they are a few shows in development, so we will have to wait and see.
Now many of us know Sean Hayes more from his acting career, so I wondered if since he has played two comedy legends if there is anyone else he would be interested in playing. You might remember that in 2002 he played Jerry Lewis in Martin and Lewis and currently you can see him as Larry Fine in The Three Stooges, so who else is there for him to recreate? He responded with, “You know anybody that challenges me. There are so many people I would want to play, so many roles.” He then shared something I didn’t see until he told me, “I’ve always been told, I look like the young version of a Frank Sinatra in a certain way. You know that famous mugshot he has. A writer friend of mine said they were walking down a street, saw it and said OMG they thought it was me. So it would be fun to play Frank Sinatra. It would be fun to play anybody, anybody that is unexpected.” So take a look at the picture below and see if you see the resemblance? I think it is uncanny how much he looks like him. So when they make another movie about Old Blue Eyes, I think we need to petition that Young Blue Eyes gets it. Sean Hayes for Frank Sinatra.
On June 13th, Dallas will make its debut on TNT and I think the drama is the best the show of the season. Now I know I have said that before about other shows this season that started to lose their momentum after the pilot screeners that us critics reviewed. But unlike those other shows, I have seen seven episodes of Dallas and I can tell you it gets better and juicier with each episode.
Unlike 90210 and Knight Rider, Dallas includes the original cast and uses them the way they should be utilized in the sequel. Seriously JR is just as bad as he was when he was shot and that is a very good thing. But the show isn’t only about JR and Bobby Ewing, it is about the next generation of Ewings and they are just like their fathers. Also like the original Dallas, this nighttime Soap is very easy on the eyes.
Even though it has been 30 years since the original Dallas aired, the story is the same. Family rivalries, oil, love, money and did I mention oil. It is everything you can hope for from a show that is resurrected on television and more. So make sure to set you DVRs to record Dallas on June 13th because you don’t miss a single second of the best new show of the season. Seriously it is the first time a sequel is as good as the original.
Hugh Grant is a guest on Ellen today and the new father gushed about his daughter JÄ«ngxÇ. He told Ellen DeGeneres that his little girl was not planned and that her name means “Happy Surprise” in Chinese, her mother’s native language.
Now we all know that Hugh Grant is one of the cutest actors out there, and watching him talk about his baby girl like that made him even cuter.
But the cuteness didn’t stop there, he also took part in tea party with Sophie and Grace. The Four Weddings and a Funeral star told them some jokes that had them and us laughing.
Seriously don’t you just love the new DILF???
As we all know Jessica Simpson has gotten larger than most Hollywood starlets when they are pregnant and now someone from the other coast is dissing her. Snooki told Us Weekly she about five months along and she is waiting for her baby bump to come. But as excited as the Jersey Shore star is to see it, she “would die if I were her (Jessica Simpson) size.” She better watch her words because she is so tiny, chances are she is going to have a pretty big bump and then Jessica Simpson can say something about her size.
Throughout the eight years that Eva Longoria has been on Desperate Housewives, she has been able to keep her petite figure. Now that show has wrapped forever, it looks like she can eat whatever she wants again. Gabby Tweeted the above picture and said, “Thank you #Fatburger for making the last day on the set of Desperate Housewives special!” I wonder if she would’ve eaten a burger while she was filming? Especially when she is wearing such a revealing dress like that one.
Even though I have tolerated Desperate Housewives for years, I actually think I am going to miss it.
