Beyonce and Jay-Z welcomed the Princess of Hip Hop yesterday and her name is said to be Blue Ivy Carter according to E!online. Her sister Solange Knowles confirmed the news on her Twitter by saying, “The most beautiful girl in the world.” She then added, “Information that goes through the telephone, always gets delivered wrong”. What that means, I am sure we will find out. I think that means her name might not be Blue Ivy which for her sake I hope is the case.
Showtime is all new tonight starting at 9p with Shameless followed by House of Lies and ending the night with Californication. Shameless is back and those Gallaghers are still as messed up as they were last season. Frank learns if you say to someone at a bar that you bet them do something for $10,000, you better be prepared to pay up. When he doesn’t have the money the collector takes something that will change the Gallaghers forever. So tune in for one the most dysfunctional family on television.
Then at 10p House of Lies starring Don Cheadle and Kristen Bell manages to be the perfect fit with Shameless and Californication. Cheadle plays Marty Kaan who leads a group of employees who go to companies and reorganize them so that they will make more money. Kaan lives with his father and son who wants to be his daughter. His ex-wife is a competitor and she is also an addict who is too messed up to care for their child. Bell plays Jeannie Van Der Hooven a woman who wants Kaan’s job and will do anything to get it. They are an unorthodox group and together they make a workable comedy to enjoy on Sunday night’s.
The best is saved for last because David Duchovny is back as Hank Moody in Californication. The show takes place a few years after last season. Moody is living in NYC and having women problems as always. He is called back to LA where Karen is married to Mr Mangina, Becca is dating a mini-Hank, Marcy is married to the producer with the big d!ck and Charlie is still Charlie. On the way back to LA, Hank meets a beautiful woman that he totally hits it off with but their relationship ends when they leave the airport…or so he thinks. Charlie got Hank a job writing a sceenplay for a 50 Cent like rapper played by RZA who is dating that woman he met on the plane. Now back to RZA he slays it as the gangsta Apocalypse Samurai. He adds a dynamic to the show that has never been done as well before. He is the ying to Moody’s yang. Californication is having its best season and you don’t want to miss a single second of it.
Tonight at 8p Fixing Pete debuts on Hallmark and you are going to want catch this sweet RomCom. Pete (Dylan Bruno) is a Sports Writer for a newspaper who doesn’t care what he looks or smells like. He just a wrote a book and his publisher wants to promote it, but not the way he looks now. Ashley (Brooke Burns) is a reporter who specializes in makeovers and Pete is her next assignment. She is her first male subject and he is not going to make it easy for her. She is going to turn this gruffy guy into a hot stud, only problem is you can change what’s on the outside but what about what’s in the inside. As she works on that part of the transformation, the two will realize that there might be something more to their assignments. Only problem she has a serious boyfriend and neither one of them will admit their feelings for one another. Will they finally get up the courage before she moves to NY with her boyfriend or will they need a love makeover?
Tune in for this movie that also stars the ageless Valerie Harper, the perfect best friend Stacy Keibler and the cute Charlie Schlatter. Plus it is an absolute two hour joy to watch.
Kristy McNichol has rarely been seen since she left Empty Nest and now she is coming out of hiding to come out of the closet. She has broken her two decade silence to People announce that she has been living with her partner Martie Allen since then. Why now? Her publicist told People, she “is very sad about kids being bullied,” adding “She hopes that coming out can help kids who need support. She would like to help others who feel different.” Since her movie Little Darlings has been a coming of age movie for so many decades, hopefully her braveness will do the same to people who need the support of someone like her coming out.
Way to go Kristy. Now can we get her back on TV or movies because her fans like me miss her.
