Tonight at 8p on Lifetime the latest Nora Roberts’ book adapted into a telemovie makes its debut. In Carnal Innocence Gabrielle Anwar returns to Innocence, Mississippi, a place where she spent her summers as a kid, and she is being wooed by one of the guys who knew her back then. Colin Egglesfield is the most sought after guy in town, but he has his eyes on only one woman. Not only are the women after him, so is the law because they think he is the serial killer who has been killing off women the town. He says he is innocent, but there are several people who want to see him dead. Will he be prove his innocence in Innocence? Will he land the girl? Will the real killer be caught before they kill again? Tune into this perfect Monday night movie to find out.
Jason Biggs is in Atlanta filming American Pie 4 aka American Reunion and when the cast went out to eat after a long day of filming we learned that he has an unnatural love for desserts! After the first movie we learned of his love for apple pies in a way no woman could ever be able to appreciate in the same way. And now thanks to Twitter we are getting to see he also has strange love for cakes that are shaped like a big pen!s. I know after I have eaten some yummy treats, I have said they were orgasmic, but I think maybe he has taken it to a whole new level.
Although before we assume he is in to Cake Sitting, his Tweet with the picture kind of explains what is happening, “There was a blackcherlorette party at the table next to us last night.” But still I have to wonder about his love for cakes and pies because he was the only member of the cast photographed in that compromising position..
Katy Perry and Funny or Die have been teasing her new music video Last Friday Night since last Friday and after watching it I have to say good things come to those who wait! It is a 8 minute music video that pays homage to the awesome party movies of the ’80s and ’90s and who didn’t love those flicks? Along with honoring the films we grew up with, she got some of the biggest names from that era to play some big roles in the video along with some of the biggest names of today from Glee and the music world. The only thing I don’t understand is how she transformed into her old self after the party?
On January 8th the world was shocked to hear that there was a mass shooting at a supermarket where a US Congresswoman was talking to her constituents. Initial reports said that Rep Gabrielle Giffords was killed in the shooting, but those reports were quickly denied as we learned the beautiful woman, inside and out, was shot in the head and was fighting for her life. Days after the shooting the world waited for updates on her condition that consisted of her holding her husband’s hand and telling him that she loved him. For the last five months we have only seen glimpses of her, but never her face. That is until now, when she bravely posted the first pictures of her smile since that horrible day on her Facebook.
On May 17th P.K. Weis of SouthwestPhotoBank.com, a longtime friend of Giffords went to visit her at TIRR Memorial Hermann Hospital and took the first pictures of her since that fateful day, upon her request. The day that these pictures were taken were special to her because it was the day after her husband launched in the Endeavor and the day before she had her cranioplasty. The photographer described that day in a statement and had this to say about his friend of over a decade, “It was very inspiring to see how much she had recovered in 4½ months. I was excited to see her and to see her smile. She was glad to see me, was in a good mood, smiling and laughing and seemed to enjoy the experience. I certainly did, too.â€
Even though most of us have never met her, we feel the same way as Weis as we look at these pictures. We are inspired by her recovery in such a short time, and we are enjoying seeing a woman who has been through such hell looking so happy and smiling.
Whenever you are having a bad day, look at these pictures and let it give you hope that someone who was shot in the head could be doing so well and have a such a huge smile on her face just a few short months after such a harrowing experience. Your bad day probably can’t compare to that.
I really hope her recovery continues to do well because I can’t wait to see this admirable woman back at the House of Representatives and teach those Congressmen a thing or two about being admirable and caring about the people they represent!
Seriously Rep Gabrielle Giffords is my inspiration and I respect the sh!t out of her because of all she has done before and after that awful day.
