Less than two months after the above picture was taken, Ashlee Simpson filed for divorce from her husband Pete Wentz yesterday. According to what a source told People, “It’s very amicable. They’re on very friendly terms and speaking – it’s fine. They’ve just grown apart. They’ve been growing apart for quite some time. It’s all about [their 2-year-old son] Bronx for them. They’re fantastic parents – Pete says she’s a great mom, and she says he’s a great father. It’s about Bronx’s care and well-being and happiness for them.” I blame their new hairstyles for the split. One bad hairstyle a couple can survive, but not two.
BTW who else is seriously shocked as I am that they ended their marriage? I thought they were going to last.
I have loved everything that Matt Perry has done since he guest starred on Growing Pains and I have missed having him on TV since Studio 60 was unfairly cancelled. Well over the summer I got excited when I heard not only was he coming back to the small screen in ABC’s Mr Sunshine, but after I saw the pilot I was jumping for joy because I love love love the show. Perry is naturally funny and this show really showcases it.
He plays the manager of a South Californian arena and let’s say his boss is not the easiest woman to deal with. Now not only does he have to deal with her, he also has to deal with her son who let’s just say is not the most competent. And yes both of them make his life hell and our Wednesdays nights heavenly.
The show reminds me a lot of Studio 60 with its wit and flow, but it is a stand alone show. Oh and in ways it is a lot like Perry’s real life because as he said at the TCAs over the summer it loosely based how it has changed over the years. If you remember what he used to be like?
The one thing you better remember is to watch this hysterical comedy tonight and every Wednesday at 930p on ABC because who doesn’t need a reason to be excited on hump days!!!
Tears for Fears Curt Smith was trying to explain the Mad World of celebrity crushes to his daughter Diva and her answer was tough for him to get out of and awwwdorable for us to read.
Here is the conversation he Tweeted he had with his older daughter:
Off to bed after discussing being “famous” with eldest regarding @justinbieber movie. She loves him and I say “but you don’t know him”…
she says, “but I love you and your famous” – I have no answer for that apart from a smile. #Ilovemykids
How precious is that answer to her being Head over Heels for Justin Bieber! I guess sometimes it is hard being a celebrity parent.

Did Jack McGee call his co-star Mark Wahlberg “Marky Mark” and that’s why he is in a headlock and screaming Rescue Me? I am not sure but what I do know is that two of them were discussing The Fighter at American Cinematheque. Well that and never to call Wahlberg “Marky Mark”…again!

We have barely seen Matthew Fox since Lost ended in May and looks like he has been growing that beard since then. Seriously is just me or does he look like Jack Shephard before he went back to the island. You know when he started drinking and flying around the world hoping to get back to the island?
