Get Lost all over again and again!
August 25th, 2010 under Lost. [ Comments: 1 ]

Lost is lost from our airwaves, but it doesn’t mean it has to be lost from our TVs. You can experience the whole show or just the last season on DVD and Blu-ray with a whole bunch of special features that any Lost fan (including ones like me who hated the finale) will enjoy from now until we figure out what the island was all about…which means forever.
Here is what you get with the two Lost collections that are available for you to own:

LOST: THE COMPLETE SIXTH AND FINAL SEASON – Contents
• Every Sixth Season Episode
• Bloopers and Deleted Scenes
• Audio Commentaries accompany four episodes (LA X, Dr. Linus, Ab Aeterno and Across The Sea)
• The End: Crafting A Final Season – Join the LOST team along with other producers of some of
television’s longest running shows as they examine the challenges of ending a landmark series.
• A Hero’s Journey – What makes a hero? Which survivors of Oceanic 815 are true heroes? These
questions and more are explored.
• See You In Another Life, Brotha – Unlocks the mysteries of this season’s intriguing flash sideways.
• ‘LOST on Location’ – Behind-the-scenes featurette showcasing stories from the set, including all-new
interviews with actors and crew.
• PLUS: A LOST Blu-ray & DVD exclusive – Go deeper into the world of LOST with a much-anticipated
new chapter of the island’s story from Executive Producers Damon Lindelof and Carlton Cuse.

LOST: THE COMPLETE COLLECTION – Contents
• Every Episode in the Series (Seasons 1 through 6)
• Over 30hrs of Season 1-6 Bonus materials (previously released materials from Season 1-5 and the all-new Season 6 bonus material)
• A unique series of featurettes that takes viewers on very personal tours of Oahu where the series was created, with key cast and crew as they reflect.
• Exploring the global phenomenon that is Lost, bonus showcases events ranging from the series cast and crew at San Diego’s famed Comic-Con convention to international voice recordings, local events and even fan parties, all of which helped make the show into a worldwide favorite.
• A closer look at some of the props with cast, writers and producers, exploring their significance, stories and emotional ties to the characters.
• Humorous yet emotional look at every character who died on the series
• 16 hilarious Lost “Slapdowns” featurettes showcasing celebrity Lost fans who confront Executive Producers Damon Lindelof and Carlton Cuse to ask press questions about the final season, including the Muppets and cast members Nestor Carbonell, Michael Emerson, Rebecca Mader and more.
•The exciting collectible packaging also includes: a Special Edition collectible ‘Senet’ Game as seen in Season Six, a custom LOST island replica, an exclusive episode guide, a collectible Ankh, and a black light penlight.

I got the Lost: The Complete Sixth and Final season and let me tell you all the special features on it make this is a must own.
The most anticipated feature is the new chapter with the New Man in Charge that stars Ben and Hurley. We will get a few answers about the island in it, but in typical Lost fashion it will end with a question. Hey Dalton why not pitch how you ended it is as spinoff, I know I would watch it.
Also included is a featurette documenting the final season from the beginning until the end. It is told by the cast and crew, and there are several touching moments and also a few insights about the show and the season that explain why they ended the show the way they did. In that The End we get to see the lead actors shoot their finals scenes, which is sad and sweet at the same time. There is another featurette talking about the sideways and how the cast felt about their characters on the other side. The producers explain the reason why they went with the sideways storyline and why the characters became the way they were in the alternate universe! Besides getting a look at the actors, we get an in-depth look at the biggest characters on the shows and that is the locations. It is really cool to see where and how they recreated certain parts of the island and sideways. From the underwater scenes to the temple, it will really blow you away how it was all done.
But the best reason to own the collection is because who doesn’t want to watch the amazing final over and over again. I still have not had the desire to rewatch the finale to see if I can get a few more clues about what the show was all about, but I know when I do get the temptation I can put it on and not have to worry about commercials breaking up the suspense!
Both DVD and Blu-ray collections are a must own for any Lost fan, so why not buy it for that special Lost person in your life!

Ghost Hunters start hunting again tonight!
August 25th, 2010 under Syfy. [ Comments: none ]

Ghost Hunters is back for its sixth season on Syfy at 9p and tonight they really hit it out of the park. I say that because they are called in to investigate the Otesaga Hotel in Cooperstown, NY home of the Baseball Hall of Fame. During tonight’s episode flashlights will go on and off as they play a music box, it will sound like a ghost is calling out one of their names and they will hear furniture move above them even though they are on the top floor. These are just a few of the paranormal things they will experience tonight, all of which would have me running out of that hotel faster than Babe Ruth would hit a ball out of the park.
Tonight they stay at a haunted hotel and in the coming weeks they will go to the Baseball Hall of Fame and the Philadelphia Zoo. I am really curious to see what happens when they go to the zoo. I wonder what is scarier there, the animals or the ghosts…

Sorority Life sees George Clooney as “The Older Guy”!
August 25th, 2010 under George Clooney. [ Comments: none ]

So I have two game addictions on Facebook, Mafia Wars and Sorority Life. A few months ago Sorority Life added boyfriends to game and they have looked like some famous celebrities and/or their characters. For example Hugh Jackman is Mickey the Muscle, Gregory the Geek based on Anthony Michael Hall’s character from 16 Candles and Patrick the Pretty Guy based on Heath Ledger’s Patrick Verona from 10 Things I Hate About You. Well yesterday they debuted Oscar the Older Guy and I think he looks a lot like Oscar winner George Clooney. The Playdom game described him as “There’s a new silver fox in Sorority Life, Oscar the Older Guy! His added years haven’t slowed down this guy’s charm. Check him out today!” Major ouch, George Cloobney isn’t even 50 years old and they are making him sound like he is a senior citizen. But I guess for with the average age of the players being half of his, 50 is their version of version of 65. Still I am sure even with his much younger girlfriend, this still has to hurt his ego a little…if he ever found out about it!
BTW sorry Doug Ross, you are not not worth 19 brownie points for me to spend on you.

Missing Hot in Cleveland, here is the best of Betty White!!!
August 25th, 2010 under TV Land. [ Comments: none ]

Last week was the season finale of Hot in Cleveland and now we have to wait until January for any new episodes. But thanks to this video edited by TV Land, we get to watch Betty White’s best zingers on the hot hot hot show and this should hold us over until the season premieres. How much do you love her delivery for what the writers wrote for the Golden Girl? Gotta love Betty White!
One of my favorite parts about the video is seeing her with the Ronald McDonald red hair because it actually looks good on her. Not many people can pull that color off.
BTW there is just one clip they forgot from that video and it is this hilarious blooper with Valerie Bertinelli and her!!! I can watch it over and over again, it is a real scream!

Holland Taylor goes out in short shorts!!!
August 25th, 2010 under Chuck Lorre. [ Comments: none ]

Fame Picture
It is freaking hot here in LA and that didn’t stop the Emmy nominated Holland Taylor from working out. The 67 year old actress from Two and a Half Men didn’t let the heat dampen her workout, so she dressed for the weather by wearing short shorts and a tank top. I so respect the Bosom Buddies for going out like that, not only because she did but because at 67 she still has the body to do so. Here is to hoping she brings home Emmy gold on Sunday!
