BTWF roles: Penn Badgley on What I Like About You
April 8th, 2010 under Before They Were Famous, Gossip Girl. [ Comments: none ]

(starts at 2:30in)

Before Penn Badgley was working his way through the girls on Gossip Girl, he was only trying to get one on What I Like About You. I think he looks so much cuter with the long bangs that he had when he was 15 in that 2002 episode than he does now. He should consider growing them out again.

Blake Lively and Penn Badgely need to watch out!

Blake Lively and Penn Badgely better watch out because it was announced today that two of the other real life Gossip Girls couples are no longer dating. First Page Six reported that Ed Westwick and Jessica Szohr called it quits after it was rumored she was spotted cozying up to one of his best friends. A source told Page Six, “He immediately ended their relationship on the phone, and Jessica, who denied anything happened with Marco, was so distraught that she flew to London last Friday with just the clothes on her back. She’s been begging Ed to take her back, but he is deeply hurt. He can’t believe that she carried on this way with one of his friends.” But they are not the only real life couple from The CW show to find themselves suddenly single, OK! Magazine is reporting that Leighton Meester and Sebastian Stan have also ended their relationship. The magazine said Sebastian is devastated over their break up, but I am sure he will get over it quickly since he has a role in the upcoming movie Captain America to celebrate!
Since bad things come in threes, I wonder if we will be hearing that Blake Lively and Penn Badgely are no longer together sometime soon???

Bones turn 100 tonight!!!
April 8th, 2010 under Bones. [ Comments: none ]

Tonight on Fox at 8p Bones celebrates its 100th episode and it goes back to the time when Bones and Booth met! Brennan and Booth have read Sweet’s book and they decide that they have to tell him that the case he based it all on wasn’t really their first case so they decide to tell about the one that really was. So through flashbacks we see how the two of them were paired to work together for the time, how they got along at first sight, what the squints were doing before they started helping the FBI out on cases, how Angela became part of the crew and the kiss we have been waiting 100 episodes for. While Sweets might not be happy by the end of the episode, believe me you will be because it is the best episode of Bones to date and after watching it I am hoping for at least 100 more and you will be too. Seriously most shows don’t do a good job with their milestone episodes, but Bones really knocked it out of the park with this one. So don’t miss a truly enjoyable episode of Bones on Fox at 8p and get to see how it all began!

They used the wrong parent in that Tiger Woods Nike ad
April 8th, 2010 under Jimmy Kimmel. [ Comments: none ]

Yesterday the internet was abuzz over the new Nike commercial with Tiger Woods’ late father talking to his blank-faced son. The ad was really weird and creepy and had most people looking at their computer and TV screens the same way Tiger Woods was looking into the camera. So Jimmy Kimmel Live decided to redo the ad the way it should’ve been done and with the right parent…his mom! So watch that video to see how Nike should’ve done the ad. Personally I think JKL should have used a Nike sneaker instead of a newspaper, but is just me. At least that way they would have had their product in the ad and made people want to buy their sneakers.
Tune into Jimmy Kimmel Live on ABC at 12:06a to see him interview the very funny Martin Lawrence!

I wonder if Big Mike was truly eliminated yesterday?
April 8th, 2010 under American Idol 9+. [ Comments: 1 ]

I love conspiracies, so here is my latest one. So it is looking like for the second week in a row Dancing with the Stars will beat American Idol in the ratings and Fox is justifiably nervous. The show also had its lowest performance night since its first season on Tuesday in the overnights and that is not a good thing because we still have several more weeks in the competition to go and Fox doesn’t want those numbers to decline any more. So what is the best way to get people to watch again after an extremely boring season with lame contestants, the loss of Paula Abdul who was replaced Ellen DeGeneres who is basically a dud and the upcoming departure of Simon Cowell who is the only reason to watch? Well you could get one of the most popular contestants, who is not being named as a possible winner, have him be eliminated and then have the judges save him so that there can be a double elimination the following week. So why is next week so important? Glee is back and they need to make sure after a four month hiatus the much hyped show can still do well in the ratings. After watching that episode I can tell you it is excellent, but is word of mouth enough to get people to watch? They really need those American Idol fans to stick around and watch, but if is no one is checking out AI will people change the channel mid-way through Lost or miss who is going home on The Biggest Loser to watch Glee return? I have to admit my DVR is set to record Glee, but no way I am missing Lost for Glee. Plus they really need to get the ratings up next week because I don’t think having Adam Lambert act as their mentor, who is so last season, will be as big of a draw as 19 Entertainment would like him to be.
Now back to Big Mike, although the judges love him and he had the great story of missing his daughter’s birth because of Hollywood week, I think he is quite boring and can see him being in the position that he was in last night. But there are a lot of other contestants I could see going before him and shocked that they are still there because I can’t even remember their names or that they still are on the show.
So basically my conspiracy theory is that they Big Mike was on the chopping block so that the judges would save him and we would have a double elimination next week to help the ratings for both American Idol and Glee. Or I could just be talking out of my a$$ and need to stop watching shows about conspiracy theories like Who killed JFK? Did a Kennedy kill Marilyn Monroe and Who killed Nicole Simpson and Ron Goldman? OK well the last we know…
