Back when Daryl Hannah made Splash it seemed like Hollywood was her oyster, but her career really went no where. Now she has come forth and claims that Asperger’s Syndrome had her blacklisted in Hollywood according to Digital Spy.
“I never went on talkshows, never went to premieres. Going to the Academy Awards was so painful for me. I’d almost faint just walking down the red carpet. I was so socially awkward and uncomfortable that I eventually got blacklisted.
“Studio executives would call me but I’d be too shy to call them back. So after a while a couple of studios literally told my manager that I was blacklisted.”
She added: “If something in my personal life comes up that moves me – whether it’s because my father was ill, or because I want to spend time with my boyfriend – I will prioritize that over taking a movie part. That’s the way I’ve been throughout my life.”
I wonder if she came forward with this years ago if that would’ve helped her career because then the people that she says blacklisted her, would have understood why she wouldn’t do things they asked her to do?
Ken Jeong Tweeted these pictures of his cast members from Community throwing him into a dumpster. He didn’t say if it was for a scene from the show or if it was them basically being so sick of him they decided to get rid of the trash, but I am thinking it is the latter. Joking! I just love Ken Jeong and I think he is so cute. You have to respect any guy that is willing to do a nude scene with a pecker as tiny as his. I kept asking my friend after we saw The Hangover if he thought he was wearing a prosthetic and he said he had to be wearing one because no man would let the world know he is that small. My friend was wrong because Ken Jeong has said in several interviews that was all him. Poor Ken Jeong and his wife…

The Knack’s lead singer Doug Fieger passed away today from cancer at the age of 57 according to The Detroit News. The Knack is best known for their song My Sharona about a Sharona Doug met when was just 16 years old. So take 5 minutes to remember Doug, by listening to My Sharona and singing the song at the top of your lungs like you have done on so many occasions before he was taken from us way too soon.
BTW I found out about his death from a what Weird Al Yankovic Tweeted about him, “RIP my dear friend Doug Fieger (lead singer of The Knack, and the first artist ever to approve one of my parodies)”
