After watching the trailer for Knight & Day, I remember why I signed in blood I would never ever see another Tom Cruise in it after seeing him in the last movie he did with Cameron Diaz, Vanilla Sky. Seriously how beyond awful does Knight and Day look? Granted I was turned off of the movie when Cruise was talking to Diaz on the plane and I remembered how Christian Bale said he based his American Psycho character on him and I totally saw Patrick Bateman speaking in that scene. On a non-Cruise note, what is that thing on top of Marc Blucas’ lip? Someone shave that mustache off of him ASAP.
On a positive note, isn’t that like the first trailer in a long time without Tom Cruise running in it?
Next Tuesday on ABC’s 20/20 they are telling the real story behind the inspirational movie The Blind Side. In case you didn’t know the Sandra Bullock movie is based on a true story and 20/20 has the first sit down interview with Michael Oher, who now plays for the Baltimore Ravens, about the movie. Not only will he be on the show, but so will the whole Tuohy family, Leigh Anne, Sean, Sean Jr. (SJ), and Collins. Of course you can’t tell the story behind the movie without having the stars of it Sandra Bullock and Tim McGraw on the special too.
When I saw the trailer for the movie, it touched me so much I actually researched it online afterwards. I thought wow what a touching story with a great outcome and now I am so excited that 20/20 is telling the real story behind the movie. I can’t wait to hear what everyone has to say about it. I think this is the must-watch interview for everyone to see before we start the New Year as a resolution how we can do better.
On a The Blind Side note, I saw it last week and I absolutely loved it. I cried through most of it but I didn’t leave the movie sad, I left feeling inspired because it is such an amazing story. I honestly understand why Sandra Bullock is getting all these noms and I am rooting for her to win. If you haven’t seen The Blind Side yet, I highly recommend adding it to your must see list!
Just like finding a lump of coal in your Christmas stocking that is how I feel after watching the trailer for the remake of The Karate Kid that was posted on First Showing (via MovieLine). I say wax off to everyone involved with that piece of sh!t that has nothing to do with the original. It takes place in another country, the kid is younger, the challenge doesn’t come the same way, their names aren’t even the same and oh yeah that isn’t f*cking Karate but Kung-Fu. As Jaden Smith says at the end of the trailer (if you make it that far), “That’s nasty.” Yes Jaden it really is.
Here is my vent after watching the remake for Friday the 13th and now seeing the trailer for this, why the f*ck does Hollywood keep calling these pieces of sh!ts remakes if they have barely anything to do with the original? Why not sell the movie as an original movie? Then maybe people would have more respect for Hollywood these days? But if you are going to keep calling these movies remakes that aren’t than keep expecting a loss of revenue at the box office because the movie goers will rebel and not go see your movies. Seriously I really hope that for 2010 the movie studios’ New Year’s Resolution is that they come up with original movies like The Hangover and Inglourious Basterds and stop making sh!tty remakes like The Karate Kid!!! OK I feel better now!
The highly anticipated sequel to the movie from the TV show Sex and the City 2 is still 6 months away, but today as an early Christmas present we are getting the first look at Sex and the City 2. You know with all the hype, you would think the trailer be better than that dullsville thing. And where are all the ’80s scenes? If you want to get me to see the movie on May 28th show me that. Granted I am probably one of the few women who still hasn’t seen Sex and the City 1…shhhh don’t tell anyone…so I am probably not the person they are trying to attract.
