Before we watch George die on the season premiere of Grey’s Anatomy next Thursday, we can watch his former-cast members flub up their lines from last season! There were some really cute mess ups in that gag reel! But the best one is when Patrick Dempsey says, “I’ve lost a patient. Izzie’s dead!”, too bad that was only a blooper and didn’t make the show. Maybe we will get to hear him really say those words for real this season on the show!
Last night was the Fox Fall Eco-Casino Party and I was on the red carpet that was sponsored by Ford and benefiting Habitat for Humanity of Greater Los Angeles to interview the stars of the new and returning Fox shows!!!
Fresh from winning an Emmy for Outstanding Choreography on Saturday, Tyce Diorio was there walking the red carpet and he told me what we can expect from season 6 of So You Think You Can Dance that just started up on Wednesdays at 8p.
SYTYCD is followed by the biggest new show of the season, Glee at 9p and I talked to two of the members of the club and both of them told me that the number they enjoyed most was Queen’s Somebody to Love. I can’t wait to see them do it because if both of them are backing it, it must be freaking brilliant. Cory Monteith and Kevin McHale also told me how their lives have changed since the show debuted in May and they are both still extremely humble and enjoying the ride. Just another reason to love this show.
On Thursday, Fringe is back for its second season at 9p and Lance Reddick, who runs the unit told me about the some of the changes coming up! And after watching the season premiere there will be a lot new things and people coming to the show this season. He also told me that before he was acting, he was a Jazz musician and he is currently working on finishing up his first album.
Next Friday (9/25) at 8p, the funniest sitcom of the new season Brothers is going to premiere and one of the Brothers Daryl “Chill” Mitchell talked to me about the hysterical show. He also told me that he is getting ideas for the show from Tweets that are sent to his Twitter @DarylChill. So after you watch the show next Friday, make sure to Tweet him with your suggestions, but until then follow him because his Tweets are fun to read.
Family Guy is getting a spinoff with The Cleveland Show on September 26th at 8:30p and the father and son told me about some of the awesome guest stars they had on the show so far and it hasn’t even premiered yet. Kevin Michael Richardson (Cleveland Jr) and Mike Henry (Cleveland) told me that on the show one of them voices a white guy and the other one an African-American one, can you guess which one is which? These guys also did their voices for me and I can’t wait to show you the video interviews of them doing because it was so f*cking cool!!!
On Friday October 2nd at 8:30p, the show that will be with Fox forever is ’til Death, but one thing that hasn’t been with the show forever is the actress who plays Allison Stark. You see the show is on its third (or as Timm Sharp told me 4th) actress to play the role of Brad Garrett and Joely Fisher’s daughter. Lindsey Broad told me what it is like to play the role that two other actresses have played and the changes between her relationship with Doug. The two of them have made some changes to their life and locale. Timm Sharp (Doug) also told me his character will have some really weird visions that I can’t wait to see him act out!
Finally coming in January is Sons of Tucosn, a live-action sitcom that will be sandwiched between Fox’s animated shows and Tyler Labine is plenty animated to fit in during that awesome timeslot. The show deals with a guy who is hired by three boys to act as their dad who is incarcerated and then he hires them back to steal from his grandmother and the rest is sitcom hilariousness. So when I asked Tyler who is the biggest kid on the set, who do you think his answer was? You got it, he is! So see the big kid in this cute sitcom in 2010!
Coming up in the next few weeks, I will be posting the videos with all the stars above and they really had some interesting stuff to say about the upcoming seasons of their shows. So make sure to check back for them and the meantime keep watching Fox that keeps producing watchable TV unlike unlike other networks that are nothing but crap…
xoxo to Janice and Tra-Mi for inviting to me to the awesome red carpet!!!
Tonight on the second episode of The CW’s hot new show Melrose Place a lot of questions asked in last week’s pilot will be answered. We find out what Violet’s connection is to Sydney and see her get closer to one of her neighbors. We find out what Auggie was burning at the end of the episode. We see Ella at work doing what she does best to save her job. She isn’t the only fighting to keep working, Lauren starts moonlighting in the world’s oldest profession to pay the bills. Riley and Jonah adjust to be engaged. And finally we learn about David’s relationship with his dad Michael Mancini. Tonight really starts the wheels moving for the series and believe me you want to be on the Melrose Place bus tonight and every Tuesday at 9p following 90210.
On that note 90210 is also new tonight and Annie is having a really crappy year. Naomi has a comprising picture of her that she debates whether or not to send out to the whole school….will she do it? And if that isn’t bad enough for her someone saw Annie hit that homeless guy who later died and they are letting her know they know.
Betty White has a career that so many of peers have envied and should aspire to and on January 23rd they will be honoring her with the Screen Actors Guild Life Achievement Award. A week after her 88th she will get this honor and her age is not slowing her down. She is still doing all her animal activism, appearing on the Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson every now and again, starring in You Again and was recently the best part of The Proposal. No matter what she does whether it is scripted or improv her comedic timing is perfect and always brings a smile to our faces, so when I saw she was getting this honor it brought a smile to my face because she so richly deserves it.
And I am not the only one, here is what the Screen Actors Guild National President Alan Rosenberg said about her getting the honor at the Screen Actors Guild Award, “Whether creating some of television’s most indelible characters, plunging into film roles with joyous gusto or perfecting the art of the quip as a television panelist and host, Betty White has entertained audiences with her impeccable comic timing and remarkable wit for more than sixty years. Her lifelong devotion to the welfare of animals, manifest in her work as an author, producer and philanthropist, is further evidence of her tremendous humanity and meaningful contributions in so many important areas. Screen Actors Guild is honored to celebrate Betty White’s extraordinary achievements over the course of an exemplary life.†So true!
You know that when she stands up there to accept the award there will be a standing ovation her because who doesn’t love this Golden Girl? She made us laugh and fall in love with her role as Sue Ann Nevins on The Mary Tyler Moore Show, Rose Nylund on The Golden Girls, appearing on her late-husband Alan Lund’s (how she met him) show Password and a countless other memorable TV appearances. And in the recent years we have seen a different side of her humor during the Comedy Central Roast for William Shatner and The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson. On that note, I hope they ask him to give her honor because I think his admiration and respect for her would make it a really touching speech that I am sure she would have a perfect zinger for!
I can’t wait to see her accept the honor at the Screen Actors Guild Award on January 23rd because I really think she has earned this Life Achievement Award!!!
Dancing with the Stars two-winner and reigning champ admitted before we saw him on TV, he was obsessed with watching his partner, Melissa Joan Hart on TV.
He told People, “I said to my mom, my dad, ‘Don’t talk to me, I’m watching Clarissa,†says Ballas, now 23. He would then do his homework, followed by watching his other favorite show — also starring Hart — Sabrina, the Teenage Witch.
“I was little, I was 12, 13,†Ballas says, “and I was like, ‘She’s really cute.’â€
I wonder now that he is dancing with her 5 hours a day in Connecticut if he still feels the same way? We will see if the chemistry is there between the two of them on Monday when DWTS comes back for its 9th season on ABC.
Too bad she is married or maybe he could follow his bandmate Derek Hough’s example and become the Cub to his Cougar partner…
