After 72 years and over 15,700 episodes on television and radio, Guiding Light will come to an end on September 18th.
“No show in daytime or prime time, or anytime, has touched so many millions of viewers across so many years as GUIDING LIGHT,” said Barbara Bloom, Senior Vice President, Daytime Programs, CBS. “We thank the cast, crew and producers – past and present – who delivered this entertainment institution, the beloved characters and the time-honored stories to our audience every day for seven decades. It’s been a privilege to work with such an extraordinarily talented group of people.”
While I have to admit that Guiding Light is one of the few soaps I never watched, it is still a very sad day in daytime TV when one of them cancelled.
UPDATE: TV Week is reporting that it looks like Pyramid will be replacing the soap. Hopefully they will get Donny Osmond back as a host!!!
Tonight on Lost on ABC at 10p we find out if Sayid killed Ben, or will he survive? I can’t wait to find out, I have been waiting a whole week on the edge of my seat to see what happens next because that was one of the best moments in Lost’s history!
BTW I love in the first clip that even the characters on the show are trying to figure what the heck is happening. Seriously that looks my friends and I discussing the show every week!!!

After watching the extended reveal scene, who do you think is telling the truth. The one thing I know for sure tonight’s episode is going to be hot hot hot and you don’t want to miss it!!!
The Judges might not have liked Steve Wozniak on Dancing with the Stars, but they seem to be the only ones! Because last night on Jimmy Kimmel Live! he announced that he is going to take over the role in Footloose that Zac Efron cut loose. That is way too funny and the only that is getting me through the fact that he was eliminated from Dancing with the Stars. I think it is such shame what happened. He might not have been the dancer, but he was so adorable and he was really enjoying it!!! I am really going to miss him…:(
BTW Holly Madison was also eliminated.
