This video proves Eminem is no longer relevant
April 7th, 2009 under Eminem, Music. [ Comments: 6 ]

Remember the days when Eminem was groundbreaking? Well in his first video since coming out of retirement, he pokes fun at people that are so last year. Sarah Palin? And two of the couples in the video aren’t even dating anymore…Jennifer Aniston & John Mayer and Lindsay Lohan and Samantha Ronson. That video so has sell out written all over it.
BTW it took me all day to figure out what song it sounds like the girls are singing in We Made You and I have narrowed it down to something from the Buffy the Vampire Slayer’s Once More Feeling with episode. Am I right?

I will be in the minority, but I HATED Adam Lambert’s Mad World
April 7th, 2009 under American Idol 8, Tears For Fears. [ Comments: 6 ]

via GMMR
Tears for Fears’ Mad World is one of all my all time favorite songs hands down, so when I read that Adam Lambert was going to do it (I am on the West Coast, so I cheat and read online reviews) and Simon gave him a standing O, I thought he was going nail it and I was excited for it. Well I am sorry, but I f*cking hated it. He had the opportunity to make it haunting especially since he did the Gary Jules version of it. While his high voice might be good for the stage and carry through the audience, but listening to it on TV it grated on me. If he would have done it in deeper voice and let the chorus stand a little more on its own, I think I would have liked it a whole better. But man I don’t care, it is my favorite song and I personally didn’t like what he did it with it. I just think when people have favorite songs, they don’t like when anyone else does anything to it and that is how I feel about Mad World. I will be honest it took me a long time to get used to and like Gary Jules version of it and when it comes to Adam I really don’t think I will ever like it.
And I know several of you will disagree with me and bash me, but that is where I stand on his version of the song. Here is the Tears for Fears version of it, that I know you are going to say Adam’s was much better…but I disagree.

It’s official! The CW will air the Daytime Emmys!!!
April 7th, 2009 under TV Soaps. [ Comments: none ]

(photo from WireImage)

The 36th annual Daytime Emmys finally found a home, and that place is The CW on August 30th. It was touch and go for months whether or not they would even air on TV because the other four networks and several cable networks said no. That was until today when The CW said yes! I am so happy they did because with the cancellation of Guiding Light and now even rumors that As The World Turns might stop spinning, we need to keep this show alive! So please on August 30th turn your TVs to The CW and watch the Daytime Emmy Awards, so we can help keep this TV genre alive!!!
Thank you to The CW for saving the day!!! And if you have an extra two tix the show, I would love to go again and support Days of our Lives and General Hospital!!!

BTWF roles: Craig Ferguson in Red Dwarf
April 7th, 2009 under Before They Were Famous, Craig Ferguson. [ Comments: 1 ]

(starts at :50 in)

Before Craig Ferguson was Drew Carey’s boss or had his own late night show on CBS, he was the guy I hate to run into in the late night on The UK show Red Dwarf. How different does 25 year old look in 1988 with slicked back hair. Thankfully he left that look back in Merry Old England.
