American Idol is back tonight on Fox at 8p for its 8th season and as much as I say I am not going to watch I am so going to watch!!! Tonight starts the audition part of the show and for the next 3 weeks we will have good and bad auditions every Tuesday and Wednesday! I know a lot of people hate these episodes, but I love the bad singers and the way Simon criticizes them!!! The only thing I am not looking forward to is the new Judge, but then again my opinion might change after watching her on the show, but I highly doubt it! Side Note: National Enquirer is reporting that the new 4th Judge Kara DioGuardi is getting married this summer. Her boyfriend of over a year proposed to her on her birthday and she said yes. She credits her mom for finding her Mr Right,
“I have a place in Maine, and basically he was the general contractor on the house next door to mine,” she said recently. “I met him on the eve of the 10-year anniversary of my mother’s death.
“It was kind of like my mom said, ‘You’ve been dating a lot of dogs lately – I’m going to send you a present.’ “
Kara is having a great year! OK, I am jealous I want a year like that!
Howie Mandel was hospitalized in his hometown of Toronto for an irregular heartbeat and not a heart attack according to The Star.
"Howie is in the hospital being monitored for an irregular heartbeat but doctors expect him to be released and back to work (today)," Kay said in the statement. "He did not have a heart attack."
Mandel suffered chest pains at his hotel around 7p and an ambulance was called to take him to the hospital. He was awake and talking the whole time. Hopefully he will be better soon!
UPDATE: People is reporting that he has been released from teh hospital and is already back at work.
Forget the unGolden Globes, the best part about last night was the E! pre-show!!! Ryan Seacrest came down from his platform to interview Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie on the red carpet and as you can see both completely ignored him. Ouch ouch and ouch!!!
I so love Brad and Angelina for doing that! I like Ryan and I feel bad for him because that so had to hurt, but I am sorry I totally enjoyed that!
Naomi Watts did her first red carpet since having her son Samuel on December 13th and she already looks like she lost all her baby weight. Say it with me…b!tch.
BTW she was out to support her babies daddy Liev Shreiber whose movie Defiance had its NY premiere.
