RIP Dick “Mr. Whipple” Wilson
November 19th, 2007 under Obits. [ Comments: 1 ]

Dick Wilson, who was best known as Charmin’s Mr Whipple, died today at the age of 91. Although he has not a done commercial in a while he will be part of TV history with his catchphrase “Don’t squeeze the Charmin.” So I say we all squeeze a roll of Charmin in his honor!
Thanks Apres!

An inexpensive way to support the WGA writers!
November 19th, 2007 under WGA Strike. [ Comments: none ]

Pencils2MediaMoguls is a campaign to give the fans a voice in the current negotiation between the Writers Guild of America and the Association of Motion Picture and Television Producers. All pencils purchased through this widget will be sent to the moguls who run the big six media conglomerates. We will be sending, along… (more) with the pencils, contact information for non-profits who deal with child literacy. If the moguls refuse delivery of the pencils, we’ll donate them ourselves. Any money left over after the deliveries are complete will be donated to the Union Solidarity Fund, an assistance fund set up to aid union members not in the WGA affected by the strike. Make your voice heard! We’re all on the same page.

Help the WGA writers give the Networks and AMPTP a woody and send them a box of pencils for a whole dollar! That is write, I mean right, $1.00 a box is all it costs! It worked for Jericho lets try it for all the scripted programs and movies!

How Barney got his third slap tonight on CBS at 8p!!!
November 19th, 2007 under How I Met Your Mother. [ Comments: 1 ]

Finally Barney is getting his third out of the 5 slaps from the SlapBet he lost last year over Robin Sparkles! I have been waiting over a year to see this happen and I can’t wait to see how Marshall finally does it tonight on CBS’s How I Met Your Mother at 8p!!!
OK! Well actually I have been waiting since earlier in the season when Marshall told Barney about his slap countdown clock on the net which started 7 weeks or 49 days ago! Tonight Marshall tortures Barney at his first Thanksgiving dinner married to Lily, with little hand gestures and slap references. Lily who wants the perfect Thanksgiving is torn as slapbet commissioner to allow her husband to slap Barney or save her meal. Whatever happens it will be legen-waitforit-dary!
OK does what I just wrote sound Greek to you, then here is the montage that started it all!

OMG!!! I can’t wait!!!
BTW last year I posted the SlapBet Montage as my Thanksgiving note to y’all! How ironic that a year later they are giving me my wish! A tear has come to my eye!
OMG! I am so excited and I just can’t hide it! So tune into How I Met Your Mother tonight at 8p on CBS and prepare to slap yourself silly!!!

Jimmy Kimmel is Wonder Bread white!
November 19th, 2007 under Jimmy Kimmel. [ Comments: none ]

See how important writers are in Hollywood, it would have saved us from that! Although I have to admit that was funny!
UPDATE: I should not have picked on my boy Jimmy Kimmel! Personally I think he is hysterical with or without writers they are just the cherry to his sundae or the guacamole to his tacos! He just opened a door and I had to walk into it!
I did not see him host the show because I have been boycotting the AMAs for years and even seeing my boys Duran Duran performing together again could not get me to watch the show.

BTW here is a bonus clip of one of the Jonas Brothers making like a Duran Duran song and Falling Down! Ha ha!!!
