Seriously? OMG! WTF?

Ugly Betty’s Vanessa Williams has revealed that she almost missed out on her role in the show. The actress – who plays magazine boss Wilhelmina Slater – was considered by producers from the beginning but couldn’t make it to the auditions in Los Angeles after losing her father. "We’re a very close family and it completely rocked our world. We went away to Egypt," Vanessa explained. "So I couldn’t meet with the producers and they cast someone. Then I got a call, ‘We want you to start tomorrow…’ You just never know in this business."

I could not, she is just so perfect in the role. Especially with the upcoming storyline, did anyone see that coming?

 

David Bowie is releasing a Eighties Greatest Hits Album, which is a bit of an oxymoron some cynical journalist will no doubt claim. The shape-shifter has collected together 19 of his favourite tracks recorded between 1980 and 1987 and has called them, perhaps unsurprisingly, ‘The Best Of 1980/87’. Together with a DVD of 15 videos the package will be shipped out en masse to record stocking emporiums so you can get your grubby little hands on them on 19 March.

Adam Brody is glad hit show The Oc has come to a close, because he had no choice but to test himself in other roles. The 27-year-old played Seth Cohen on the teen drama between 2003 and 2006 and loved his job so much, he admits he needed a push to seek fresh challenges. He is now looking to make more movies after earning good reviews for his performances in Thank You For Smoking and MR & Mrs Smith. He says, "We all got on so well and the scripts were so good that we would’ve done it for years. "This way we’re forced out into the world. I can play new geeks now."
