UPDATE ON PAT’S KIDNEY OPERATION
We are very pleased to announce that Pat Spurgeon has finally received a kidney! On Friday January 12th, Pat underwent kidney transplant surgery, and it was a great success. He is now in the process of resting and recuperating with friends and loved ones and is on the road to a full recovery.
Throughout the course of Pat’s struggle with kidney failure, there have been so many of you that have been so gracious in showing your love and support for him. To those of you that sent him myspace messages, emails, and donations, your kind words did not go unread; your concern and hopefulness did not go unnoticed.
Pat was very lucky to receive a kidney, but there are still so many people out there searching.

A set designer killed on the Jumper set |

| One crew member was killed Thursday on the Toronto set of the Samuel L. Jackson sci-fi thriller "Jumper" after being struck by frozen debris in a freak accident. Set dresser David Ritchie was pronounced dead on the scene after a large piece of frozen sand and gravel fell from the top of a wall at an outdoor set that he and three crew members were dismantling in frigid winter temperatures. Another crew member was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries and kept overnight for observation. "On behalf of the entire production, it is with profound sadness that we confirm this tragic accident," read a statement from Jumper Prods. "Our thoughts and prayers go out to David Ritchie’s family and all of those affected at this time." "He was loved by everyone on the crew," said a colleague of Ritchie, who was 56. "He had a wonderful, gentle spirit." Lensing on "Jumper," which also stars Hayden Christensen, wrapped in Toronto on Jan. 19. Cast and other crew members are on location in Tokyo.

Not a good week to be working on a movie, this is the thrid incident this week. First their was the accident on The Invasion set with Nicole Kidman, second was Bruce Willis on the Die Hard 4 set and finally this one. Hopefully next week will be a better one.

George Lopez says that Jay Leno is the worst interviewer on TV |

|  COMIC George Lopez got pretty serious Wednesday on Orlando station WOMX 105.1’s "Scott & Erica Show" when he told the radio hosts he wanted to "start a feud" with "Tonight" show host Jay Leno. "Leno is the biggest two-faced dude in TV," said Lopez. Though he was unclear as to why he felt this way, sources said Lopez was offended by Leno’s attitude after the ABC sitcom star had a kidney transplant in 2005. Leno invited him on his show after the surgery – but hasn’t had Lopez back since then. Leno’s producers supposedly told Lopez it was because he wasn’t funny enough the first time. "When I had my transplant, he called me and was the nice guy on the phone," dished Lopez. "And then he just puts the knife in your back . . . It tells you something about Jay Leno if Conan O’Brien is coming into ‘The Tonight Show’ [in 2009] when Jay Leno is still young enough to be the host," catted Lopez. "The dude’s, like, the worst interviewer on TV." A Leno flack had no comment.

That is messed up that they said that a man who just went through a kidney transplant was’t funny enough.
In Leno’s defense besides his show, that does ok in the ratings, what else does Lopez have to promote. In George’s defense he is right, Leno is not that good of an interviewer.

Knights of Prosperity rob Jim Belushi of his timeslot |

ABC has shuffled its Wednesday night comedy lineup, moving both of its rookie comedies behind veterans. George Lopez remains at 8, but rookie Knights of Prosperity will now air a half hour earlier at 8:30. According to Jim flip-flops with Knights to kick off the 9 p.m. hour, with rookie In Case of Emergency remaining at 9:30. The schedule change takes effect this Wednesday, January 31.

Although they are no longer against Idol, I am going to have to watch this show on the net. I am already watching 4 things (Bones, Armed and Famous, Beauty and the Geek and Friday Night Lights) at 8p on Wednesday. Since I can’t watch it, I am asking you guys to, so that it will get higher ratings and ABC won’t cancel it. I promise you the show is funny!

Two weeks after its return, "American Idol" has already claimed its first victims. CBS has pulled comedy-reality skein "Armed and Famous" from its schedule, effective immediately. "Armed" started with solid numbers when it premiered three weeks ago in the 8 p.m. Wednesday slot, but the "Idol" tsunami swept away a big chunk of its audience. Several unaired episodes remain and are expected to surface over the summer. CBS has slated a "CSI: NY" repeat in the slot this week, with "Criminal Minds" pinch hitting the next week. "Jericho" returns Feb. 14 with a recap episode.

I have to admit I had such high hopes for this show, but it turned into Cops with celebs. The good news for me is now I can DVR The Knights of Prosperity!
