A coronor’s inquest into Daniel Smith’s death will be held October 23, and his mother (Anna Nicole Smith) will have to attend the proceedings officials said yesterday. At a press conference held yesterday to clarify the degree of truth in reports circulating in the press, Magistrate Linda Virgill said that the body of Daniel Smith would be released as soon as the toxicology report is in – which might be within the week. "[First there is an] initial autopsy and then you must have a second just to confirm the findings," said Magistrate Virgill. She explained that having an inquest in the case of Daniel Smith’s death is not unusual as sudden deaths are usually classified as suspicious ones. She also explained her earlier statements of the death not being a natural one at the media conference. "By that I meant he did not have any external injuries on his body," said the coroner. She added that the case could be referred to the Supreme Court for criminal charges if the jury determined that their findings on Daniel’s death had some involvement of a criminal nature. Magistrate Virgill admitted to speaking with Anna Nicole Smith recently and announced that Ms Smith will be called as a witness in the proceedings. Anna Nicole Smith’s lawyer, Michael Scott, also confirmed that she was still in The Bahamas. "Yes she is here [and] she is in seclusion with her family and friends as you would expect in the case of any parent who has sustained this kind of loss… " said Mr. Scott. Magistrate Virgill also said that the autopsy result would not be released to the public unless court officials tender the report as one the documents needed for evidence. She added that the results would not be seen "before that time". "The toxicology results won’t be released as it would not be fair to the public…and Anna Nicole Smith," said the Magistrate. She also said that she had full confidence in the medical staff’s competence to secure the room if something had happened of an adverse nature. During the conference Mr. Scott denied knowledge of certain statements made on the Larry King Live show, calling the reports "irresponsible speculation" while Magistrate Virgill recommended to the public that all speculations should be stopped until the commencement of the inquest.

Wow, something major must have come out in the first toxicology report for the inquest to go forward like that. 

MSNBC’s Rita Cosby is reporting that Duane Dog Chapman, star of the A&E reality series "Dog the Bounty Hunter," and two members of his bounty hunting team (including his son) were arrested by U.S. officials today for extradition to Mexico. Cosby is reporting that Mexican government officials wanted the three men sent back there in relation to a three-year-old case. In 2003, Chapman traveled to Puerto Vallarta, Mexico to retrieve Max Factor cosmetics heir Andrew Luster, who was wanted in the U.S. on rape charges. Luster is now in jail, serving a 124-year term. The Chapmans were jailed in Mexico for a brief time for the incident three years ago. Bounty hunting is considered a crime in Mexico. Dog’s wife, Beth Chapman, said 12 armed marshals "came through the door" at 6:00AM this morning. She said they took their daughter’s boyfriend down at gunpoint. Dog was sleeping at the time. TMZ spoke with Nicky Credic from the U.S. Marshals Office. She said, "The arrest warrant was signed by a U.S. magistrate in Hawaii on September 13. The warrant was based on a formal request based on a diplomatic note from the government of Mexico."

This is such BS. Andrew Luster used his money to hide in Mexico and instead of the Mexican officials turning him they arrest the people (3 years later) that caught him and brought him back to the US.

This morning they taped the finale of Rockstar Supernova and just as this site predicted, LUKAS is the winner! We’re doing our victory dance! We thank all the supportive readers who never doubted we were right. Now aren’t all you readers who vociferously scoffed at us a bit ashamed? Especially Dave Navarro, who insisted we were just guessing and attempted to belittle this site by saying we were "no Perez Hilton." We may not be Perez, but YOU Dave, are no Tommy Lee either! Sorry to rub it in, but we were 100% RIGHT, Dave, when we named the winner back on August 27. We realize CBS is not happy about the leak that the winner was actually chosen quite awhile back, and it may raise questions about how fair the contest really was. But that’s YOUR problem. We’re just here to inform our readers!

Well, it’s finally over… Lukas won! Good for him! I am looking forward to the tour with those guys in January and February. I know that it’s a little early to be talking about this for the West, but whatever… If you are reading this blog at all, you already know. Looks like this is the last time I will be mentioning this show until the tour, so I’d just like to say to those who made this their temporary home or hotel for the season, thank you for your comments, your support, your hating, for all of it. It’s been fun! Feel free to check in anytime. I gotta tell you… I think they made a great choice. You know, for me, it was always between Lukas and Dilana. I would have been happy with either, even though what I think is irrelevant. Here is the thing. If the band had chosen someone I didn’t like, I would have been cool with that too. I mean… It’s their band. I support the guys no matter what. They are, however, my friends, so I suppose it’s easier to support my friends. I guess what I’m getting at is that things are just different now. I am amazed at how angry and upset people get these days when artists make choices that they don’t agree with. Put it this way, when Robert Plant did "Tall Cool One", I didn’t love it, but I remained a fan of his. I certainly didn’t start talking shit about him. I guess I look at artists that bring my life joy and entertainment, whether I know them or not, as friends to an extent. Plus, all the contestants on this show got an amazing opportunity. To do what they love in front of millions twice a week and for some, perform their original works of music! Plus, a handful of them will be touring with all of us in the New Year. Not a bad deal. I know, people get connected to the artists that touch them and when they don’t get what the fans want for them it can hurt. I get that, so go ahead and rant if it makes you feel better. I don’t mind. That is what this site is for. For you. I, on the other hand, am going to go and hang with the guys, Lukas and the rest of the contestants at our wrap party. Oh yeah… Damn, I’m gonna have to ask that Janet Charlton for some lotto numbers! She IS good! HAHAHAHAHA!!!

TMZ has learned "American Idol" Season Two finalist Corey Clark has been arrested in Yuma, Arizona. According to police, Corey Delaney Clark, 26, was arrested on July 23 for violating a court order and trespassing at his father-in-law’s residence. The court order was issued as a result of a previous domestic violence incident. Yuma County Sheriff’s brought Clark to jail, where he spent 24 hours in the slammer before being released on bond. TMZ spoke with Capt. Eben Bratcher of the Yuma Sheriff’s Department who confirmed, "Mr. Clark was charged with two misdemeanors, one for criminal trespassing and the other for violating a court order. Mr. Clark missed his court hearing and a warrant for his arrest could be coming" According to published reports, Justice of the Peace Pro Tem Yolanda Torok said prosecutors had filed charges of interfering with a judicial proceeding. "This will be sent back to the county attorney’s office for a warrant to be issued for his appearance," Torok said during the brief hearing.
