The cast of hit TV sitcom Friends looks set to reunite in a deal worth an estimated £2million each. Jennifer Aniston has confirmed rumours of a one-off special in which she will play Rachel Green. Speaking on Channel 4’s Richard and Judy, Miss Aniston, 37, said: "I do miss it. The only thing I can think of doing is maybe a Thanksgiving episode. Our Thanksgiving episodes were really fun." Previous suggestions of a reunion foundered because she was said to be reluctant to take part. But she is believed to have changed her mind after talking to her friend and former co-star Courteney Cox, 42, who played Monica Geller. Miss Cox said recently: "I can see us coming back together to do a Thanksgiving show. The story is continuing even if we’re not watching. I think they see each other every Thanksgiving."The comedy, which ended in May 2004, told the story of six inseparable friends in Manhattan. It became a cult hit thanks to the chemistry between its cast, which also included Lisa Kudrow as Phoebe, Matthew Perry as Chandler, Matt LeBlanc as Joey and David Schwimmer as Ross.

Just like Suri’s pictures, the longer they wait the less they are worth, so they better do this soon.

Don Knott’s statue causing problems? |

An unfinished statue of Barney Fife apparently won’t be heading to Don Knotts’ hometown after all. Knotts’ widow endorses a statue but says the monument should be of her husband, not of the bumbling deputy he made famous on "The Andy Griffith Show." Knotts died in February at age 81."We consider the dissemination of his image to be a big responsibility that we take very seriously," Francey Knotts and Andy Griffith said in a statement. "No one cares more about Don’s image than we do. It would be wonderful to have a statue in Morgantown, W.Va., of Don Knotts as Don Knotts."But this particular image does not fit with our understanding of Don’s experience growing up in Morgantown."Efforts to get a Fife statue in Griffith’s hometown of Mount Airy, N.C., which was used as the model for the fictional town of Mayberry, have been unsuccessful.Mount Airy resident Tom Hellebrand commissioned the Fife statue after Knotts’ death. The work was halted after Paramount/CBS, which owns the rights to the television show, withdrew its permission. The company said it didn’t have the authority to grant permission for a likeness of Knotts.Hellebrand then offered the half-finished work to anyone who could obtain permission from the company, the Knotts family and Griffith. Mount Airy already has a statue of Griffith in character as Sheriff Andy Taylor walking with his son, Opie, who was played by Ron Howard.Morgantown Mayor Ron Justice said any monument to Knotts should be in Morgantown and reflect Knotts’ accomplishments."We certainly want to portray Don Knotts in the very best image as we know him in Morgantown," he said.

We hear rumours of tinea becoming a problem in the Big Brother house. Apparently Big Brother crew members have been purchasing tinea treatments from pharmacies on the Gold Coast along with housemate’s regular prescriptions. Tinea (another term for ring worm) is easily spread through close living and everyday contact. Thanks to Delta4

Is this an egg-elent idea? |

CBS kicked off the first of the major network presentations today at the TCA press tour with an executive session and Q & A featuring network president Nina Tassler. More on that later, but for now I just have to relay one of the more bizarre announcements to come out of press tour so far. Today, CBS revealed a marketing strategy so odd that I had to check to date to make sure it wasn’t April 1st. Billboards, magazines, television, the internet, apparently these are all passé modes of advertising. The latest and hottest medium through which to convey a brand message is apparently… wait for it… eggs. Yes, farm-fresh, chicken-laid, white-on-the-outside-yellow-on-the-inside eggs from your neighborhood supermarket. I’m still wondering if this is all perhaps some kind of wacky hoax.
According to the press release: “Beginning this September, CBS will be the inaugural major corporation to advertise on over 35 million eggs marked by EggFusion, a company which specializes in delivering freshness and traceability coding to consumers by placing laser coded expiration dates on eggs sold by grocers.” I wish I were joking. The eggs will be stamped with logos from different CBS shows, along with a slogan and, helpfully, an expiration date (I’m assuming for the egg, not for the show).
Some of the slogans that will appear on the eggs: CBS Mondays: Leave the Yolks to Us CSI: Crack the Case on CBS The Amazing Race: Scramble to Win on CBS How I Met Your Mother: Find Your Chick on CBS
And for the new shows: The Class: New Grade-A CBS Comedy Smith: Professional Poachers Shark: Hard-Boiled Drama Jericho: Unbeatable Television
You get the idea. I’m still waiting for the punchline.
Now Playing
Seriously? OMG! WTF? But I can tell you CBS is right traditional advertising is a dying trend, but not sure advertising on an egg is the way to go? But I have to admit the slogans are brilliant!

Daniel Craig signed on for second Bond flick? |

New blonde Bond Daniel Craig has impressed producers on the set of the latest 007 so much he’s been signed up for a second. The 38-year-old actor has been given another license to thrill before his first outing as the superspy in Casino Royale hits cinemas later this year. A source tells British tabloid the News of the World, "Daniel is the ultimate Bond. The producers have seen rough cuts from the film and are convinced it’s going to be a big hit."
Hollywood
I am not sure that is the smartest move? I don’t think this movie will make a $100 million in the states.
