Campaigning RADIOHEAD frontman THOM YORKE has confessed he is a hypocrite, because it’s impossible for him to be a world-travelling rock star without damaging the environment. Yorke is a vocal ambassador for the charity Friends Of The Earth, but admits he isn’t "flawless", since big concerts, tours and festivals rely on fossil fuel and create tons of unrecyclable waste. He says, "I don’t drive a big car, but I don’t come out of it dirt-free. "The whole apparatus of big festivals is not cool. If we could go to them and say, you can only use paper cups, you can’t use generators, you have to use solar panels. "You technically can’t make it happen. That stresses me out, because I am a hypocrite. As we all are."

DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES star NICOLLETTE SHERIDAN spent the beginning of 2006 suffering from the flu after diving naked into a freezing pool. The actress was attempting to rescue her Golden Retriever, OLLIE, after he dived into the pool at Sheridan’s winter retreat in skiing mecca Aspen, Colorado. She explains, "I ran naked into the cold pool. I was cleaning my house naked. I had a cold and it’s (being naked) the normal thing to do when I’m feverish."

Stockholm – Swedish police fined Babyshambles frontman Pete Doherty after traces of cocaine were found in his blood following a concert at the Hultsfred music festival, officials said.

Police detained the British rocker after the concert because "he showed signs of being under the influence of narcotics", said Ulf Karlsson, a police spokesperson in the city of Kalmar on Sweden’s south-eastern coast.

Tests showed traces of cocaine and benzodiazepine, a minor tranquiliser that Doherty had a prescription for, Karlsson said.

Doherty was fined 14 000 kronor and was released, Karlsson said. He was not in possession of any illegal drugs, so he will not face other charges, the official said.

Traces of cocaine were also found in the blood of another band member, who was also fined and released, Karlsson said, but added he did not know the identity of the man.

Babyshambles was one of the main draws at the annual Hultsfred festival, one of the biggest in Sweden.

Earlier this month, Doherty had checked himself into a detox clinic in Portugal following several arrests for drug possession, his lawyer Sean Curran said. – Sapa-AP

Comedian ROBIN WILLIAMS has an unusual obsession for a Hollywood star – he is addicted to collecting bicycles. The 54-year-old actor is an avid cyclist who regularly exceeds speeds of 50 miles-per-hour (80 kilometres-per-hour) and has 60 bikes stored in his garage. He says, "That sounds a lot, but they need less space than a car. "When I’m riding my bicycle I feel like a Buddhist who is happy just to enjoy his mundane existence."

Troubled rocker PETE DOHERTY has been accused of starting a fight in a Swedish nightclub after drunkenly jumping offstage. The reportedly drunk 27-year-old threw himself into the crowd at the Debaser club gig in Stockholm, causing havoc. Bouncers then escorted the BABYSHAMBLES star, who was also fined by local police after traces of cocaine were found in his blood on his Sweden visit, out of the club. An onlooker tells British newspaper The Sun, "One girl was bleeding from broken glass on the floor. "She went ballistic and Doherty started lashing out at people trying to sort the situation out".
