Ghosts of Shepherdstown is back, but to the surrounding towns
July 10th, 2017 under Destination America. [ Comments: none ]

Last season, Ghosts of Shepherdstown dealt with clearing out the spirits from the West Virgina Town that is one of the most haunted in the country. This season on the Destination America show, Police Chief Michael King recruits Nick Groff, Bill Hartley, and Elizabeth Saint, with the help of local historian Dana Mitchell and psychic medium Lorie Johnson to do the same for the nearby communities that are experiencing paranormal activity.

Tonight at 10p, they travel to Harper’s Ferry to investigate the John Brown Wax Museum. Harper’s Ferry is an old town that preexists the Civil War. During that war, several battles were fought there. Is this there the spirits? Although the place they are investigating was a residence before they converted it to a museum in the 1960’s. Is it one of the former residents haunting the building? Or maybe it could be someone’s whose hair and dentures were used to make the wax figures. How creepy is that?

The team is called in because the manager feels threatened by the spirits. She is so afraid of the basement, she will not go down there. When the team investigates, she was right to be fearful of it. In fact, the team gets a call when they are alone in the museum that the manager was attacked by something in her house. Now, they know they really have to rid this place of whatever is there.

What they find out is surprising. Something you will never see coming and that is what makes a good and believable paranormal show. What I like about this paranormal show is they do not go into the gadget of the week, instead they let the haunting happen naturally.

I enjoyed their take so much, I binge watched last season on the Destination American app immediately after watching tonight’s season premiere. You do not have to watch season one before season two, but you will want to watch it. It is that thrilling!

Killing Bigfoot is killer good!

Tonight at 10p on Destination America, three men go on the mission of Killing Bigfoot. For centuries the mythical creature has eluded us and now the Gulf Coast Bigfoot Research Organization (GCBRO) think they know how to find them.
Their mission is to assist families who think they are being terrorized by the monster. They want to prove to the scientific community that he does exist. They will use their own special method to find him and will debate whether he needs to be taken in dead or alive. That is if they can catch something that no one has ever been able to do.
Will they be the first? We will have to tune into this 6 part series to find out.

Tonight’s Paranormal Lockdown still haunts them
October 31st, 2016 under Destination America, DIscovery Networks/Discovery+, Halloween. [ Comments: none ]

I have a few friends, who are Paranormal Investigators, and because of that I am very weary of Ghost investigation shows. There are things that some of them do, that my friends would never do and the team of Paranormal Lockdown did some of the things you are not supposed to do and it, literally, came back to haunt them.
Tonight at 9p on Destination America, Nick Groff and Katrina Weidman travel across the pond to Yorkshire, England to spend 100 hours, the longest investigation done on any show of this type, in the Black Monk House. A place so haunted that people won’t even go into the house. As soon as they get there, the two of them start to feel things. Things that won’t stop during the full time that they are there. They will hear things that will not only freak them out, they will also freak you out. Things will move, they will attacked and when the 100 hours end, the haunting will still go on for one of them.
The activity is so strong that it will stay with Groff when he is back in The States. Will Weidan be able to vanquish that negative energy?
This two hour special episode is so terrifying, I can’t think of a better way to spend Halloween after you put the kids to sleep. Halloween is all about Ghost stories, why not spend it with a real one. One that is so frightening that you will not be able to sleep tonight. Therefore, you will want to steal some of your kids’ candy to help you stay awake.

Ghost Ayslum is back for another insane season tonight!
April 19th, 2015 under Destination America, DIscovery Networks/Discovery+. [ Comments: none ]

The Tennessee Wraith Chasers are back with a new season on Destination America and tonight at 9p they Ghost Asylum to Rolling Hills Asylum in Upstate NY. The asylum has seen over 1,700 people die within its walls and not everyone has moved on. There is a mean doctor, an evil nurse and a gentle giant who are known to still inhabit the halls and TWC wants to make contact with them. Alone at night they will make contact with more than one soul when they make their voices heard. TWC will try different techniques to communicate with residents and the staff and they will do something I’ve never seen done on any other paranormal show. When they find out that Nurse Edna is about to celebrate her 135th birthday, they buy her cake and sing Happy Birthday to her. Will it work? You just have to tune in to see who blows out the candles to find out.

Ghost Asylum is crazy good!
September 7th, 2014 under Destination America, DIscovery Networks/Discovery+. [ Comments: none ]

Tennessee Wraith Chasers investigate asylums, sanitariums and mental hospitals to see if any of the past patients and employees are still there haunting the place. Tonight at 10p on Destination America’s Ghost Asylum, you will see their first televised case and you would be insane to miss it.
Tonight they go to Old War Memorial Hospital in Scottsville, Kentucky, a place that housed the clinically insane and dead bodies before they were finally shut down. The mix of those entities and a doctor who fought his firing all the way to the top courts is enough to give any the heebie jeebies; but not the men of TWC.
They go in during the day to survey the place before the investigation. Then they go back at night to see if there is any activity going on. When they are done for the night, they study what they found so that they can prepare for their second night there. This time they go back more prepared to make contact with the spirits. Not only to find out what is going on there, but also to help them to move on.
What I like about this show, is they don’t go over the top to contact the dead. They use their methods and don’t fake it. I hate when paranormal shows fake their outcomes because it is so obvious. I also hate when investigators antagonize the spirits. TWC does not do that, they try to lure them out but they are not mean and stupid about it. I respect their methods because they don’t overdo it like so many other shows like theirs do.
You might say that TWC is crazy to investigate these places, but I say what better place to do it if you are crazy like them!
