Oh, la, la! Krispy Kreme is taking us to Paris
July 15th, 2024 under Fast Food. [ Comments: none ]

Airfare is expensive, so we can’t afford to fly to Paris for the Olympics. Because of that, Krispy Kreme is bringing us Parisian treats with three new donuts.

  • Crème Brûlée Doughnut: An unglazed shell doughnut filled with crème brûlée KREME™ filling, dipped in crème brûlée caramel icing and topped with caramelized sugar crunch.
  • Double Chocolate Éclair Doughnut: An unglazed shell doughnut filled with chocolate custard KREME™ filling, dipped in chocolate icing, and topped with chocolate crisp pearls.
  • Raspberry & Vanilla Crème Doughnut: An Original Glazed® doughnut dipped in raspberry icing and cookie pieces and dolloped with vanilla KREME™.

Do you know what goes great with those? A Crème Brûlée Latte made fresh-to-order hot, iced, or frozen.

The donuts are available for a limited time starting today?

Before Shannen Doherty was far from being a girl scout in Heathers, she was in Night Shift. How cute was the late actress in that 1982 movie when she was just 10 years old?

Predict that Lifetime’s movie Miss Cleo will be a fun watch
July 15th, 2024 under Lifetime. [ Comments: none ]

Back in the late ’90s, Miss Cleo and her commercials for her Psychic Readers Network were all over our televisions. Until, it was exposed that she was a fake. And then, she was no longer on our TVs.

But on August 10th, Lifetime will tell her story in Miss Cleo: Her Rise and Fall.

Known for her work during the late 1990’s and early 2000’s with the Psychic Readers Network, this professional telephone and television psychic Youree Dell Harris (Allen) was launched into the pop culture zeitgeist when the network’s infomercials took off, making her a cult icon as the TV persona Miss Cleo. Fondly remembered for donning a colorful turban in a candlelit room, Miss Cleo dutifully listened to callers detailing the most intimate details of their lives. Miss Cleo ultimately became the face of the Psychic Readers Network, earning the trust and loyalty for those that called her. Years later, Harris’ world was turned upside down with complaints that the Psychic Readers Network was fraudulent and spread false advertising. Facing angry fans, Harris was forced to defend her reputation to clear her name and escape financial devastation.

I don’t know about you, but I forgot about the late Miss Cleo until this biopic. And now I can’t wait to watch it.

Sfyf puts a stake through Reginald the Vampire’s heart
July 15th, 2024 under Syfy. [ Comments: none ]

Syfy has seen the sunlight and caused another nighttime show to turn to dust. The network recently canceled Resident Alien, and that series was saved by its sister channel, USA Network.

Today, Syfy pulled the plug on Reginald the Vampire after two seasons, according to TV Line. And it does not look like it will be resurected.

To be honest, I was more surprised that it got picked up for a second season than its cancellation. I tried to watch it, but I just couldn’t get into it.

Are you going to miss the show, or do you think it is about time it was splashed with holy water?
