Popeyes and Anime go together like…wait, they don’t. At least they didn’t use to, but now they do.

Starting today, for a limited time, One Piece is coming to the chicken joint with four menu offers.

  • Luffy Bento Bundle ($13.99*): Two pieces of Popeyes iconic Signature Chicken, creamy Mac & Cheese, a refreshing Gum-Gum Fruit Lemonade, and Chopper’s Cupcake, served together for a truly legendary feast.
  • Luffy Bento Box ($7.99*): Two pieces of Popeyes iconic Signature Chicken paired with creamy Mac & Cheese for an iconic meal.
  • Gum-Gum Fruit Lemonade ($3.49*): A bright, delicious lemonade inspired by the ONE PIECE original fruit.
  • Chopper’s Cupcake ($3.99*): A sweet treat as lovable as the Straw Hats’ resident doctor.

“For ONE PIECE fans, the story is about adventure, loyalty, and going all-in for the things you love. This energy perfectly aligns with Popeyes and comes to life throughout this partnership with Toei Animation. We set out to create a collaboration that brings our bold flavors into the world of ONE PIECE and its anime fandom, the kind of meal you’d want before setting sail for the Grand Line” said Matt Rubin, Chief Marketing Officer at Popeyes. “Inspired by some of our favorite moments from the iconic ONE PIECE franchise, we infused the experience with signature Popeyes flavor. Whether you’re a longtime fan of ONE PIECE and Popeyes or discovering both for the first time, this collaboration is designed to bring that spirit of adventure to life.”

On Tax Day, the Straw Hat Crew can get Popeyes X One Piece collectible accessories, like keychains, T-shirts, and Bento Boxes online.

Peacock renews The ‘Burbs’ lease for another year
April 13th, 2026 under Strahan, Sara & Keke. [ Comments: none ]

Elizabeth Morris/Peacock

Peacock was looking for places to live, and they decided to stay in The ‘Burbs for a second season.

“We’re so thrilled that audiences loved season one of ‘The ‘Burbs,’ and are going to get to spend more time in Hinkley Hills with Keke [Palmer] and the rest of this incredible cast,” said Lisa Katz, President, Scripted Content, NBC & Peacock. “A huge congratulations to all of the writers, producers and crew who updated the beloved original film and made something funny, warm and highly contemporary.”

It will be interesting to see if they can do a better job with the next season than they did with the first. It was more filler than story.

Cheech and Chong and Jay and Silent Bob
April 13th, 2026 under Cheech & Chong, Kevin Smith, Strange Encounters. [ Comments: none ]

One of the best things about autograph conventions is getting to see celebrities together who you would never expect to see hanging out.

Over the weekend at Astronomicon in Ypsilanti, Michigan, Cheech Marin and Tommy Chong, and Kevin Smith and Jason Mewes got to hang out and get high. And we got a picture of the four stoners becoming friends.

And what I got to realize is that Jay and Silent Bob are the ’90s version of Cheech and Chong. How did I never put two and two together before? Did you see it before I did?

The new Little House looks beautiful
April 13th, 2026 under Netflix. [ Comments: none ]

Netflix dropped the first trailer for their take on Little House on the Prairie, and it looks beautifully shot. For me, that is enough of a reason to watch a new television series based on Laura Ingalls’s autobiographical novels about her childhood growing up in Walnut Grove in the 1870s.

Little House stars Luke Bracey (Charles Ingalls), Crosby Fitzgerald (Caroline Ingalls), Alice Halsey (Laura Ingalls), Skywalker Hughes (Mary Ingalls), and Warren Christie (John Edwards).

The streamer has such faith in the family drama that they have already picked it up for a second season.

All eight episodes start streaming on July 9h.

ABC has kept their fans on the edge of their seats. Not due to any storylines, but if they were going to pick up Will Trent and The Rookie for another season.

Today, we finally found out the fate of the two cop procedurals on social media. The Nathan Fillion drama based on an old Rookie in Los Angeles will be back for season 9. Granted, he hasn’t been a rookie in season 1, I guess it was too late to change the name.

Also, Bluebell has something to bark about. She and Ramón Rodríguez, her TV master’s series about the Georgia Bureau of Investigations, will be alive for season 5.

R.J. Decker, Scrubs, and Shifting Gears are still waiting to find out if they will report to work next season or not.
