(Disney/Raymond Liu)

The Rookie won’t be back until 2025. Today, we learned that not everyone in the season 6 finale will be returning.

TV Line reports that Tru Valentino, who played Aaron Thorsen, has left the series after three seasons.

Thorsen was a TikTok star who was wrongfully accused of murder. After he is found innocent, he decides to become a police officer. After a rough start, he is finally accepted by his co-workers.

Last season, he was shot on the job. Even though he survived, he has had problems acclimating back to the job. So he starts seeing a psychiatrist who has ties to a very bad criminal.

Is she the cause of his character leaving the shoe? We will have to wait until the New Year to find out.

Does Kary Perry have another flop single?
August 8th, 2024 under Katy Perry. [ Comments: none ]

It is a good thing that American Idol announced that Carrie Underwood is replacing Katy Perry. Because if they didn’t, I bet the California Gurl would be begging for her job back.

Perry left the singing competition show to focus on her music. She announced that she is releasing a new album next month.

Woman’s World, the first single off of 143, was a colossal flop. So today, she is following it up with Lifetimes. And it is even worse than Woman’s World.

Both songs sound like B-Sides from the early ’80s when Disco was phasing out, and musicians weren’t sure what the next sound would be.

If these are the best tunes off of 143, she better hope some other competition show wants to give you a job.

143 will be released on September 20th.

Does Travis Kelce look like a game show host?
August 8th, 2024 under Prime Video. [ Comments: none ]

Travis Kelce has had a good year. He is dating Taylor Swift, he won the Super Bowl, and he got a job on television.

The football player is hosting Are You Smarter Than a Celebrity? for Prime Video. Today, the streamer posted the first look at him doing his thing. And he looks the role. We will just have to wait until October 16th to see if they made the right choice.

So who are the celebrities? They are Nikki Glaser, Natasha Leggero, Nicole Byer, and Ron Funches; Thursday Night Football analyst Ryan Fitzpatrick; former NFL wide receiver Chad Ochocinco; Real Housewife of Beverly Hills’ Garcelle Beauvais; Vanderpump Rules star Lala Kent; podcaster Sophia Stallone; and actress and producer Lilly Singh.

Are You Smarter Than a Celebrity? offers a fun, new twist on the premise of the original popular format. Hosted by Travis Kelce, each game will welcome an adult contestant who will rely on a classroom full of celebrities from comedy, screen, and sports to help them answer 11 questions on a range of subjects, pulled from elementary curriculum, in an effort to win a $100,000 prize. Rather than compete against the stars, contestants enlist their help and, in some cases, can even “cheat” off of them. And on the final question, worth $100,000, the contestant selects one celebrity to discuss the answer with before locking in. The final question is always at the 6th-grade level.
