Before Taylor Lautner was afraid of Vampires in Twilight, he was afraid of a pop quiz on The Bernie Mac Show. How cute was the 12-year-old in that 2004 episode?
Running Point is a loose take on the Buss family owning the LA Lakers, starring Kate Hudson. It had a successful first season, and it was immediately picked up for a second one. But we have not heard much about that since then.
Today, Netflix announced that it will debut next month, and they dropped the first trailer. It looks like it’s so much more wild and funnier than the first season. So I am here for it because the first season made me want to go to a basketball game and see if the fiction was as good as the reality.
What can we expect from S2? Isla Gordon (Hudson) is no longer the surprise choice to lead the Los Angeles Waves, she’s the one everyone is watching. With the franchise finally rebounding after last year’s scandal, Isla is determined to prove she’s not just keeping the seat warm for her brother Cam (Justin Theroux). What she doesn’t know is that Cam is quietly maneuvering behind the scenes to reclaim his post, turning every misstep into ammunition. As she tries to balance the pressure of running a franchise with devoting time to her personal life, every decision on and off the court counts. To survive the family power plays and the scrutiny of the board, she’ll have to rip up last season’s game plan and come up with a whole new playbook if she wants to close out the season on top.
Running Point begins streaming on April 23rd, and you can watch S1 to prepare for it.
Ryan Gosling was on Joshua Horowitz’s Happy Sad Confused podcast. The beloved actor told him that Soap Opera actors do not get the love they deserve. The fact that they have learn lines overnight, do it in one take, and take part in some wild scenarios. He said watching all of that is “an incredible acting class.”
Then he pointed out the brilliant acting that Deidre Hall did on Days of Our Lives when she was possessed by the Devil. He praised her and all of the work she has done throughout her career on the Daytime Drama.
Well, word quickly got back to her about what he said, and she had something to say to him. “I caught the podcast. Oh my gosh, what fun! And we played it in the dressing room, and we played it in the makeup room, and we’re just thrilled to be acknowledged and to be so well spoken of. Because we work really hard, as you acknowledged,” she said. “So we think it would be nice if you wanted to come over and see what we do in our neck of the woods. So this is an open invitation to visit the Days of Our Lives set. Nobody will be possessed. And if they are, I’ll keep an eye on you.”
With an offer like that, how can Gosling refuse? Maybe he can play a possessed man on the show? I bet he would win a Daytime Emmy if he did that.
Now, let’s talk about Mr. Hall. Can you believe she is 78 years old? She looks better now than she did when she was just a newbie on DOOL in ’78! She is aging beautifully!

Cheech & Chong changed bud-dy movies forever with their film Up In Smoke in 1978. And now, they are smoking their last joint on camera.
Cheech & Chong’s Last Movie tells the story about how the comedy duo became best buds in the ’60s and enemies in the ’80s. They will share their life story on a road trip with the help of animation, archival clips, and plenty of marijuana. Because after all, it is Cheech Marin and Tommy Chong!
Their last hit will premiere appropriately enough on 4/20 on Paramount+. So grab a bag of edibles and Paramount+ & Get High!
If someone were to tell you that Megan Thee Stallion and Nickelback would make beautiful music together, you would be like, “Sorry for handing you a heart worth breaking.” But it is a good thing you did because a wise man came up with an idea that makes you say that we are having fun.
What the fuck did you just read? In short, I am telling you that Frito-Lays hired the band and the singer to promote the return of their most popular limited-edition Cheetos flavor, Flamin’ Hot Dill Pickle, permanently.
“It was only right for the Hot Girl Coach to team up with Cheetos® to bring back the iconic, Flamin’ Hot® Dill Pickle flavor,” Megan, a former Flamin’ Hot partner, says. “Everyone knows I love to stuff pickles with Cheetos Flamin’ Hot, so it’s really special to now be part of the campaign to relaunch one of my favorite combinations.”
The campaign would be hot with just her, but adding the Canadian band makes it Flamin’ Hot! “We had a blast getting to parody one of our own songs and teaming up with Megan Thee Stallion to bring it back in a totally unexpected way. Seeing how passionate fans are about Cheetos and this flavor made it even better. It’s bold, playful, and just plain fun! A 10/10 experience, would absolutely do it again,” the band says.
What made it a 10/10 experience? They shot a 4-minute music video featuring a spectacular heist, a car chase, and an explosive pile of Cheetos dust that takes over a few city blocks.
How can anyone say no to that? They can’t. They also cannot say no to Cheetos Flamin’ Hot Dill Pickle Crunchy and the new Cheetos Flamin’ Hot Dill Pickle Crunchy! So pucker up and enjoy!
