Ghosts gets a new ghost tonight
March 7th, 2024 under Ghosts. [ Comments: none ]

Halloween comes 16 weeks late to Ghosts tonight at 8:30p on CBS, and the episode is a pure treat!

Sam (Rose McIver) and Jay (Utkarsh Ambudkar) are throwing their annual Halloween party, and they accidentally invited Pete’s (Richie Moriarty) widow, Carol (Caroline Aaron). So she shows up with donut holes, and that will be her downfall.

That is because she chokes on one and joins the world of the dead. How will Pete deal with having his cheating wife join Woodstone Manor?

While Pete is dealing with being reunited with his wife, Thor (Devan Chandler Long) wants to be reunited with Flower (Sheila Carrasco), who was sucked up in the season two finale. You see on Halloween, you can conjure the dead, and Thor asked Sam and Jay to help him do that. Will they be able to summon Flower?

All of this is happening during Jay and Sam’s Halloween party, and their living friends, Nico (John Reynolds) and Sasha (Christine Ko), are visiting. They find Carol’s body and think that Jay and Sam killed her. So, they can’t wait to get out of there. And to make matters worse, they think that Sam is crazy because she keeps talking to ghost Carol, who they can’t see, because Sam doesn’t realize that she is dead.

And with that, I have a problem. Ghost Whisperer had an episode where Jennifer Love Hewitt realized that her friend, who came to visit her, was dead, even though she didn’t know that she just died when a plane hit her car a few miles away. You would think by now that Sam would be able to tell the difference between the living and the dead. But maybe not.

Anyways. After three seasons, if that is the biggest problem I have with the series, that is a good thing.

And that is the only problem I have with tonight’s episode which is the best one of the season. In fact, I would say it was one of the show’s top episodes to date.

Oh, and I forgot to mention that a big reason why Sam can’t tell that Carol is a ghost is because she told Hetty (Rebecca Wisocky), Alberta (Daniell Pinnock), Sass (Román Zaragoza) and Trevor (Asher Grodman) not to bother her during the party. So they don’t, even though they know that Carol is dead and her body is in the kitchen.

All of that leads to a comedy of errors that will have you laughing for thirty minutes straight. And who doesn’t need that much laughter in their lives?

Parasyte: The Grey is going to take over Netflix
March 7th, 2024 under Netflix. [ Comments: none ]

Parasyte is such a popular comic that it sold over 25 million copies in 30 regions and counting. Now that comic is coming to life on Netflix in Parasyte: The Grey on April 5th.

The Korean movie reveals a world where unsuspecting individuals have been taken over by parasites. These parasites, intent on multiplying, control humans and mimic their behavior while posing a sinister threat. Amidst this looming situation, Kang-woo (Koo Kyo-hwan) is shown in the middle of his search for his missing sibling while hiding from a parasite hunting him. Led by Jun-kyung (Lee Jung-hyun), Team Grey engages in a dangerous battle with the parasites, showing what both sides are capable of in this war with no clear end in sight.

Heidi has the parasite living inside Su-in, raising a flurry of questions: How did Su-in become a “mutant” who doesn’t fully belong to either the human or parasite world? And, more importantly, whose side is she on?

I am usually not a fan of foreign or CGI-heavy films, but I can’t wait to see this one. The special effects draw you in, like the the ear draws in the Parasytes.

Loot is ready to cash in on its second season
March 7th, 2024 under Apple TV+. [ Comments: none ]

I don’t know about you, but it feels like forever since Loot’s first season ended on Apple TV+.

Guess what? Today, the streaming service announced that the new season will debut on April 3rd with two episodes. Then we will get a new one every Wednesday until May 29th.

If you missed the first season, then here is a quick summary of the endearing show. Maya Rudolph plays a trophy wife whose insanely rich husband dumps her. Then, she decides to give away all of the money she got in the settlement.

There is only one problem: she has never worked a day in her life and doesn’t know how to do anything but be wealthy. So, with the help of Michaela Jaé Rodriguez, Nat Faxon, Ron Funches, and Joel Kim Booster, she is going to make the world a better place. No matter how many times they fail.

I usually am not a Rudolph fan, but I love her in this. Loot shouldn’t be as great as it is, but it is! You can’t help but to fall in love with it.

So, if you missed the first season, then you can watch it not on Apple TV+. I promise you will want to hug it as much as I do!

Ryan Reynolds is not only an actor but also an advertising mogul who runs the company Maximum Effort.

They have worked with Peleton and 1Passport, and now he is working with Titan Casket.

Did you know more people have heart attacks and accidents right after we move the clocks forward than on other days of the year? Well, Titan Caskets doesn’t want them to need you as much on that day, so they have started a campaign to Bury Daylight Savings.

They want to bury the biannual time change and not us. Well, at least not yet…

Mike Tyson to fight Jake Paul on Netflix
March 7th, 2024 under Mike Tyson, Netflix. [ Comments: none ]

There was a time when people would tune in to watch Mike Tyson fight, and they would spend a lot of money to do so.

Netflix wants to see if that is still true, so they asked him to fight Jake Paul on July 20th, and we won’t have to Pay Per View it.

“I’m very much looking forward to stepping into the ring with Jake Paul at the AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas,” said Mike Tyson. “He’s grown significantly as a boxer over the years, so it will be a lot of fun to see what the will and ambition of a ‘kid’ can do with the experience and aptitude of a GOAT. It’s a full circle moment that will be beyond thrilling to watch; as I started him on his boxing journey on the undercard of my fight with Roy Jones and now I plan to finish him.”

Are you going to watch? I will because I want to see if any body parts will be chewed off. What? It happened once. It can happen again!

If watching it on your TV is not good enough for you, then you can sign up for the pre-sale to get tickets at Most Valuable Productions.
