Anya Taylor-Joy is badass in Furiousa: A Mad Max Saga
March 19th, 2024 under Movies. [ Comments: none ]

When I think of Anya Taylor-Joy, I think of her as dainty. However, that image has been thrown out the window after watching the trailer for Furiousa: A Mad Max Saga.

Taylor-Joy and Chris Hemsworth star in Academy Award-winning mastermind George Miller’s Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga, the much-anticipated return to the iconic dystopian world he created more than 30 years ago with the seminal Mad Max films. Miller now turns the page again with an all-new original, standalone action adventure that will reveal the origins of the powerhouse character from the multiple Oscar-winning global smash Mad Max: Fury Road.

As the world fell, young Furiosa is snatched from the Green Place of Many Mothers and falls into the hands of a great Biker Horde led by the Warlord Dementus. Sweeping through the Wasteland, they come across the Citadel presided over by The Immortan Joe. While the two Tyrants war for dominance, Furiosa must survive many trials as she puts together the means to find her way home.

This Mad Max movie comes out on May 24th.

CBS is going to have to change their call letters to NCIS because next season, four of them will air on their network and one on streaming.

Today, CBS announced that they picked up NCIS: Hawaii for a second season.

“The global power of the NCIS franchise became even stronger on broadcast and streaming with the addition of NCIS: SYDNEY,” said Amy Reisenbach, president of CBS Entertainment. “Our American viewers have fully embraced these engaging characters, unique stories and the fabulous Australian scenery. We are thrilled to bring this show back to CBS next season and spend even more time down under.”

It will most likely join NCIS and NCIS: Hawaii, which have yet to be renewed, and the newest member of the franchise NCIS: Origins, which is Gibbs’ backstory. Ziva and Dinozzo are traveling Europe on Paramount+.

What’s next, NCIS: Space?

Conan O’Brien is reunited with Jordan Schlansky, and it looks so good!
March 19th, 2024 under Conan O'Brien. [ Comments: none ]

On April 18th, Conan O’Brien is going to travel to Norway, Thailand, Argentina, and Ireland for his new series Conan O’Brien Must Go on Max.

Today, the streaming service released the first trailer, and we got to see his reunion with his employenemy, Jordan Schlansky.

Schlansky hasn’t changed, and I feel for the people of Argentina as he shares his “knowledge” of their country.

While he has an old friend with him to meet some new friends on that adventure, he will travel alone to his motherland to find out if they know who he is. And they don’t.

But we do. And we know how informative and funny his adventures overseas were, thanks to his old specials, Conan Without Borders. I learned more about Cuba from him than I did from my six years of living in Miami.

So, I can’t wait to see what we learn from this show because his trips are always educational and entertaining.
