Glee is not taking Thanksgiving off tonight at 9p on Fox and I am thankful it is airing.
Tonight’s episode has moments I hate, but even more that I like. Here’s the one I don’t like, Mr Schue leaves Blaine in charge of Glee club and he acts like a puppet master. The other kids don’t like it, so he has a hissy fit and leaves. Eventually he realizes he is wrong and has a dream he’s singing Queen’s You’re My Best Friend with puppets. When he wakes he decides to make puppets for everyone.
Meanwhile in NY his fiance’ Kurt books Pamela Lansbury their first gig and decides what they are going to sing. Two things they are all against, but have no choice but to give into him. Did he make the right choice or is the band over before they even began?
Back at McKinley, Sue Sylvester is mistaken for a man by a guy she has a crush. That forces her to make some changes and get a makeover. Before she gets a new look, we get to see a flashback of what she looked like before the tracksuits. You don’t want to miss that and even more important you don’t want to miss Jane Lynch wowing us with he voice when she sings Cheek to Cheek with Matthew Morrison.
Other songs on tonight’s episode are Madonna’s Into the Groove, a Janet Jackson mashup of Nasty/Rhythm Nation and Ylvis’ What Does a Fox Say?. The last one is performed with those puppets.
While I don’t like the puppets because it is too weird even for Glee standards, I love Jane Lynch on tonight’s episode. She makes tonight’s episode worth tuning in for as it airs. Well her and to get away from your family for an hour because you know are going to want a break from them.
