November 24th, 2025 under Brad Garrett, Patricia Heaton, Ray Romano

On September 13, 1996, a little show called Everybody Loves Raymond made its debut on CBS, and tonight at 8p, the cast and crew reunite to talk about the show that changed all of their lives and television forever for Everybody Loves Raymond: 30th Anniversary Reunion.

Ray Romano, EP Phil Rosenthal, Patricia Heaton (Debra), Brad Garrett (Robert), Madylin (Ally) and Sullivan Sweeten (Michael), and Monica Horan (Amy) sat on a replica of their old set and reminisced about the #1 family sitcom of the ’90s.

They also honored Peter Boyle (Frank), Doris Roberts (Marie), and Sawyer Sweeten (Geoffrey), who are no longer here with us. As a result, Romano and Rosenthal reveal at the very beginning that they will never do a reboot without them.

Along with that reveal, we get to hear from the man who made this show happen. Not any of the above, but David Letterman. Did you know that? He shares with us why he knew Ray was the right man for him to invest in.

Then, Ray and Phil talk about the first time they met, and how their real-life families, along with the writers’ families, became a majority of the show’s storylines. Because you cannot make up what the Barones did, I mean, you can, but it would not be as funny.

They also share their favorite scenes and stories with us before bringing out the cast one by one to talk about their memorable moments from ELR and show clips from those memories.

What you get to see is that not only did they play a family on television, they truly became one.

While this is not a new scripted episode, it is an episode that will make any fan of the sitcom happy! Because no matter how much time passes, Everybody Loves Raymond and the family he created in his home away from home.

Thank you for the reminder!

I started watching it on Paramount+ and was rolling on the floor! Oh, I miss that show!

I am also a fan of Phil Rosenthals series “Somebody Feed Phil” on NetFlix. His humor is contagious!
