I can’t even put in to words how to explain that video, so I will go with letters…OMG! WTF?
It is almost like even though Boston Legal is over, he took Denny Crane’s Mad Cow with. At least that is what the first song to the Whales sounded like.
William Shatner interviewed Valerie Bertinelli for his new show that premieres tomorrow night on The Biography Channel called Raw Nerve and he was tough on her. I think his interview with her was tougher than some of the big wigs would do like Barbara Walters. But it also felt really uncomfortable, don’t you think?
After last Monday’s episode of The Big Bang Theory, Chuck Lorre posted the above Vanity Card with some fighting words towards William Shatner and directing skills in Star Trek 5. We all know that William Shatner likes to post his battles on YouTube, so will he go after Chuck Lorre for the comments he made on the show and on the Vanity Card. Maybe Chuck Lorre should offer him a peace offering and have him guest star on TBBT as himself at a comic book convention that the boys go to. In fact maybe Lorre should even send a peace pipe to George Takei, to get him on the show too and have Captain Kirk and Mr Sulu kiss and make up and all will be well in the Enterprise. How awesome would that be?
BTW here is the hysterical clip where the writers of The Big Bang Theory mock Star Trek 5 and Shatner’s directing abilities…
If you think that clip is funny, tune into the brilliantly funny Big Bang Theory tonight and every Monday on CBS at 8p!
Months after George Takei announced that he wasn’t inviting William Shatner to his wedding, Captain Kirk is responding to Sulu’s diss. I think we all assumed that because Star Trek has such a lasting appeal that we thought their friendships were the same way. As Shatner describes it, appearances were just for show and it has been over 40 years ago and the actors didn’t cross paths much back in the day when the show was filmed.
So which one are you siding with? I am biased towards Shatner because I love Boston Legal!
UPDATE: George Takei responded to William Shatner on his site:
“It is unfortunate that Bill was unable to join us for our wedding as he indeed was invited to attend. It is our hope that at this point he joins us in voting NO on Proposition 8, which seeks to eliminate the fundamental right for same-sex couples to marry in California.”
–George Takei, October 22, 2008
I don’t know who to believe anymore…Beam me up, Scotty…
In all seriousness if you live in California and you are over 18, please Vote NO on Prop 8!
William Shatner responded to J.J. Abrams’ explanation why the original Captain Kirk is not in the new Star Trek. I believe Shatner on this one. Star Trek takes place in the future and you are going to tell me they can’t figure out how to resurrect someone by then?
Personally I don’t think you can have Star Trek movie with Spock and not Captain Kirk too, but that is just me.
