Did Alfonso Ribeiro just hint something Fresh Prince related is in the works?
May 9th, 2019 under Alfonso Ribeiro, Steve Harvey, Will Smith. [ Comments: none ]

For years, whenever Alfonso Ribeiro was asked if we could get ever get a Fresh Prince of Bel-Air revival, he said no. Carlton is on Steve Harvey’s show today, and he explained why it would not happen.

The first reason is that Will Smith makes too much to do TV again. The second is that without James Avery, who passed away in 2013, it would not be the same. Then he told Harvey, “Now I won’t say that there can’t be a spinoff or a different kind of reboot or something like that.” Then he added, “In terms of a true Fresh Prince of Bel-Air remake, yeah, that won’t happen.”

This is where it gets good. He put on that hinting voice and said: “But, I mean, but, I’ll say, there’s maybe, some things can happen.” What those things are, we don’t know. But that is the first glimmer of hope he has ever given us. Thus, it is OK to do a slow Carlton Dance but not a full-fledged one just yet.

Who knew Will Smith was so short?

When I think of Will Smith, I think of him as a pretty tall guy, but not anymore. He shared a photo from the set of Bad Boys 3 with players from the Sixers. He claims he is 6’2″, but I am not sure I believe him after this. Do you?

BTW since I know very little about baseball, kidding I know it is basketball, I do not know who those two players are.

What if Fresh Prince of Bel-Air was a drama airing today?
March 13th, 2019 under Will Smith. [ Comments: none ]

Sun Squared Media is such a big fan of Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, that they reimagined the ’90s sitcom. As in, “What would happen if Will Smith made The Fresh Prince today? Bel-Air, a story of a kid from Philly whose life got turned upside-down… in 2019. ”

I wish he would make it is as good as them, but he has not done nearly as good as that since Men In Black II.

Seriously, how long do you think it will be until someone offers them a deal to turn their trailer into a real show? Drama, not a sitcom.

Does the full trailer for Aladdin make you want to see it more?
March 12th, 2019 under Disney Kids, Will Smith. [ Comments: none ]

Today, Disney released the full trailer for Aladdin and it is better than the teaser. Is it enough to make you want to go see the live-action remake on May 24th?

For me, it is a no. I will never forgive Guy Richie for Swept Away. That and I don’t want to see Will Smith be Will Smith as the Genie. There is a difference between Robin Williams being Robin Williams and Will Smith being Will Smith. The former was a comedic genius and the latter is just one note.

While I will not be seeing it, that does not mean tons of families won’t be rushing to the theaters on their flying carpets. Aladdin is still a favorite with kids.
