Ever since we found out that Wendy Williams was suffering from health-related issues in September, she has been radio silent. Today, the host broke her silence, and she has a message for her fans.
HOW YOU DOIN’? I MISS YOU ALL! As everyone knows, my health has been a hot topic. I’m making progress but it’s just one of those things that’s taking longer than we expected. I’m a woman of a certain age, and I know enough to listen to my doctors and will return to my purple chair as soon as we all agree I’m ready. I want to thank all of my staff and our guest hosts for stepping up and stepping in while I can’t be there. I also want to thank Debmar-Mercury and our stations for being so understanding and supportive while I work my way back. Most of all, I want to thank my fans. I have heard your prayers and comments and feel all the love! You are everything to me. I love spending my mornings with you all and I’m doing everything I can to get back to work, but right now Wendy has to focus on Wendy. I love you for watching.
I think this is the 57-year-old’s way of saying I won’t be back until at least January, if then. So expect to see guest hosts from now until the end of the year. And maybe a new host in September.
Unfortunately, the show is still doing well in the ratings even though she is not hosting. That could spell trouble for her.

The Wendy Williams Show announces the next round of guest hosts |

Wendy Williams has been struggling with health issues since September. Because of that, she has not been able to host her show this season. Since the show must go on, they have been using guests hosts to fill in for her.
Today, they announced who will be hosting the show for the next two weeks. Michael Rapaport starts things off on Monday and will be there for the whole week. Then the following Monday, Bill Bellamy takes over until that Wednesday. For the last two days of the week, Jerry Springer and Steve Wilkos will share the purple throne. I am looking forward to the latter.
When it comes to Williams, I doubt she will be back before the New Year. It will be interesting to see if she will even be back in January.

The Wendy Williams Show names the next two guest hosts |
October 19th, 2021 under Sherri Shepherd, Wendy Williams. [ Comments: 1 ]

Wendy Williams was supposed to be back doing her show a month ago. However, she has been dealing with medical issues from her Grave’s Disease, so she has been off the air.
Since the show has to go on, they started using guest hosts like Leah Remini to fill in until she is healthy enough to return. It looks like Williams is going to need at least two more weeks to recover because Whitney Cummings and then Sherri Shepherd are going to sit on her purple throne starting next week.
Cummings is an interesting choice. So I am curious how she will do at the job. You will have to tell me because I won’t be watching.
When it comes to Williams, I wonder how much longer they can put up with her absence because this is not the first time nor the second. She has missed shows due to her thyroid issues, her marriage, rehab, and not wanting to work during the pandemic. If this were a normal job, she would have been fired a long time ago.

Wendy Williams has been dealing with complications from her Grave’s Disease and thyroid issues. Due to that, she has not been able to host her show this season. Therefore, The Wendy Williams Show has been in repeats ever since.
After several weeks of delays, the production company has finally decided that the show must go on. So, they will be having guest hosts fill in starting on October 18th until Williams is healthy enough to return.
On Monday, Bevy Smith, Michael Yo, Devyn Simone, and Elizabeth Wagmeister will get things started. Then for the rest of the week, Leah Remini will sit on the purple throne.
Personally, I think Remini would be the perfect permanent replacement. She is really personable, and you want to be her friend when she is on talk shows. To me, that is the most important requirement for the job.

Wendy Williams has not been feeling well, so she keeps delaying the start of her show this season. So much so that Debmar-Mercury has decided that the show must go on with or without here. Therefore, starting on Monday, her talk show will resume. However, it will be with guest hosts.
The show released this statement, “Wendy continues to be under medical supervision and meets with her medical team on a daily basis. She is making progress but is experiencing serious complications as a direct result of Graves’ Disease and her thyroid condition. It has been determined that more time is needed before she is able to return to her live hosting duties.
“Wendy is a valued and stalwart member of the Debmar-Mercury family and has been so for 12 years. We want her health to be her top priority. As soon as she’s ready, she will be back in her treasured purple chair.”
They also ask that we respect her privacy as she continues to heal.
You have to respect their loyalty to her. I can’t think of another studio that would put up with it as long as they have.
