https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TtR6fiUUjMo Suits is back on USA tonight at 9p for its 7th season and the characters are all going through major transformations.
Now that Jessica is gone, Harvey Specter (Gabriel Macht) is running the show as managing partner. It is a lot of new responsibility and the stress is getting to him. Especially since everyone wants a piece of him, people at the office and the clients all want his undivided attention, but there is only one of him. He might be reaching his breaking point.
Mike (Patrick J. Adams) is back at the firm, and he kicks Harvey out of his office. He also wants to do pro bono work, but his boss has other plans for him. That will cause some friction between the two men.
Donna (Sarah Rafferty) has had enough, she asks Harvey for something he is not ready to give her. Something she wants and she will not leave him alone until she gets. But does she deserve it?
Louis (Rick Hoffman) is dealing with his breakup and to say he is not taking it well would be an understatement. He takes it out on the associates and Rachel (Meghan Markle) steps in to protect them. Louis does not like it and that gets him even more angry. It does not seem like anyone can control him even Gretchen (Aloma Wright). Wright has been given a lot more to do this season and I am thrilled with that.
Actually after watching the first two episodes, I am very thrilled with the direction the show is going in. Once again they are reinventing themselves and because of that you just cannot get bored with the legal drama.
There are a lot of changes, but it is all about their characters redefining who they are. Sometimes that is the best change a show like this one can ask for.

Also at 9p, Salvation crash lands on CBS. What if you were a graduate student at MIT and your software detected that we are 168 days away from getting hit by a world-ending asteroid? That is the premise of this disaster series.
As soon as Liam (Charlie Rowe) discovers the asteroid, he runs to tell his professor. His professor makes a call and the next day he goes missing. Liam knows something is wrong so he runs to tech billionaire Darius Tanz (Santiago Cabrera) to help him out. Tanz and him go to the Pentagon to see if they know about it. Turns out they have known about it for around three months and claim that they have a plan. Tanz does not believe them, and he is expediting his plan to send 160 people on an arc to Mars. He cannot do it alone and he needs someone at the Pentagon to secretly help him out. He reaches out to their spokeswoman (Jennifer Finnigan), who is dating Deputy Secretary of Defense Harris Anders (Ian Anthony Dale). She has a daughter, who is graduating high school and she wants her daughter and everyone else on the planet to have a future beyond the 168 days.
As Liam, Tanz and Grace work on their plan, they realize that there is one even more diabolical going on within the government than the threat of the asteroid.
Will they be able to save the earth and themselves? We will just have to tune in each week to find out.
I am disaster movie addict, so when I heard about this series I was in. Not only did it meet my expectations, it exceeded them.
Remember The Newlywed Game, where newlyweds showed us how well they knew each other via personal questions? Well Big Star Little Star, that debuts on USA Network tonight at 9p, is like that, but with celebrities and their kids instead of couples who recently got married. Which means we will get to know the celebrities better than we ever thought because their kids don’t yet know that there isn’t stuff they shouldn’t reveal on national television about their parents. Like which celebrity takes a poop every day at 7:30a like clockwork.
Cat Deeley hosts the game show and the new mom has as much with the children as she does the adults. We on the other hand have as much watching them as they have fun playing the game.
On tonight’s season premiere it is Todd Chrisley and son Grayson vs Marissa Jaret Winokur and son Zev vs Chad Johnson and daughter Cha’iel. You already know how Todd is as parent, and Marissa makes him look like a father of the year as she explains why she let her son pee in a bottle in the car. Next week, when it is David Ross and son Cole vs Teri Polo and daughter Bayley vs Howie Dorough and son James, you will find out which parent forgot to pick up one of their kids at school. Hint it is not the one who likes to drink wine. The following week, it Kenny Smith and son Malloy vs Nicole Sullivan and son Beckett vs Gilles Marini and daughter Juliana and we will get to see one of them made up with makeup thanks to their kid. The fourth episode has Joey Fatone and daughter Kloey vs Phaedra Parks and son Ayden vs Greg Jennings and daughter Alea. One of them will have their celeb crush revealed and I happened to let that celeb know about it. Whoops! The fifth week it’s Kerri Walsh Jennings and son Joey vs Mario Lopez and daughter Gia vs Christina Milian and daughter Violet. The final week has Harold Perrineau and daughter Wynter vs Brooke Burke and daughter Rain vs Penn Jillette and son Zolten. The stuff we learn about the stars will make you never look at the same way again. You will look at them as though they are you because this show shows us that they truly are just like us!
That is what makes Big Star Little Star so much for people of all ages. This is the family show we needed, we just didn’t know it until now! Don’t miss out on it because you truly will be missing something so very special. It will bring a smile to your face that just won’t stop. Don’t we need that right about now?
USA’s show Shooter, a small screen version of the Mark Wahlberg movie, was supposed to debut tomorrow, but due the shooting of several officers in Dallas that left 5 dead, they decided to postpone it a week. Now after yesterday’s shooting of 6 cops in Baton Rogue that left 3 dead, they have decided to postpone the show indefinitely. A decision I think is wise because American needs a break from it.
Something I don’t think TNT understands as they continue airing Murder in the First that has been dealing with issues close to recent horrible events. First, they dealt with a huge football player being shot and killed by an unknown person at a club. That fake murder aired just two weeks after Christina Grimmie’s murder and the Pulse Shooting. Then over the last few weeks, they have been dealing with Taye Diggs shooting an unarmed African American man around the same time that Alton Sterling and Philando Castile. Sometimes when life imitates art, we don’t know need to see it. Now is one of those times.

When Suits ended its fifth season, I didn’t know how they were going to continue on with the show. With Mike (Patrick J. Adams) in prison and Pearson Specter Litt gutted, it seemed more like a series finale than a season one. Well, those plot points gave the show a chance for a reboot.
Tonight’s episode at 9p on USA, starts off with Mike being processed for his new home of two years. He will get his hair buzzed, stripped down and left in a room alone until they ready to place him in his cell. Once he is in new room, he meets his roommate who gives him to low down on prison life.
While he is adjusting to his new life, Jessica (Gina Torres), Louis (Rick Hoffman) and Donna (Sarah Rafferty) are dealing with the fact that they came back to an empty office after Mike and Rachel’s (Meghan Markle) failed wedding.
Harvey (Gabriel Macht) goes to console Rachel when he gets a call from Louis that everyone quit the law firm. Now the five of them have to figure out how to save their a$$es and their jobs. Every time they think they got it figured out, something comes along and sets them back. Eventually they think they have it all worked out, but do they?
If they did, what would this season be about? That is something this episode has done really well, they set things up for a really intense season. Not only for Mike, but for all the people he thought he was helping out by going to prison and admitting he faked being an attorney.
I can’t say anymore because Pearson Specter Litt made me sign a confidentially agreement and they are better lawyers than me. But there are two things I will tell you about the 6th season premiere. First off, it will keep you on the edge of your seat the full hour. You will never know what is going to happen next, so you will be surprised over and over again. Because of all of that you are going to be very enthralled with the episode. The second thing I will tell you is that Hoffman has a moment that will have you laughing so hard, you will be crying. Therefore, have the remote ready because you are going to want pause and rewind that scene a few times before you move on.
Basically, my verdict is that Suits is back better than ever, so you don’t want to miss it.
After 8 summers of vacationing in The Hamptons, we say goodbye to Royal Pains tonight at 10p on USA.
Just over 100 episodes ago, we were introduced to Hank Lawson (Mark Feuerstein), a NYC doctor who was just fired and dumped by his fiancé’. Fate brought him to The Hamptons and luck made him a concierge doctor there. He is the perfect mix of House and MacGyver and he used that combination to help over a hundred people in the upscale Long Island community.
He didn’t do this alone, he had help from his younger brother Evan (Paulo Costanzo). When we got to know him, he was an immature wise a$$, and he never changed. Well he grew up a little when he met his wife Paige (Brooke D’Orsay), who saw past all of that to make him a man.
Divya (Reshma Shetty) was Hank’s right hand (wo)man, a doctor without the MD after her name. Even though she was his assistant, she was so much more to him.
As their business HankMed grew, they needed more help and they got that with Dr. Jeremiah Sacani (Ben Shenkman). What he didn’t have in social skills, he made up for with his medical knowledge.
Royal Pains wasn’t only a show about medicine, it was also about family. While Hank and Evan are brothers, they made Divya and Jeremiah their siblings. We saw them go through the good times and the bad times together. They all had many loves, but they also found someone special. Evan and Divya married their lovers; will Hank wind up with his soulmate? That you will have to tune in for to find out.
Tonight’s episode starts with Boris (Campbell Scott) missing and Hank and Evan looking for him. Someone wants his DNA and we will find out why. Boris knows he can’t stay in The Hamptons any longer, so he asks Hank to join him. The timing is perfect because with Divya moving to Baltimore (did she get into John Hopkins Medical School?), Jeremiah is opening his own lab and Evan is busy with the hospital, it is time for HankMed to take an extended break. Hank is ready for his next move, but what is it? Like I said Boris wants him to join him and then Evan asks him to run the ER at Hamptons General. Is this the change that he has been yearning for?
Since this is the last episode, we will find out what he chooses. He chooses correctly, because of that he gets the perfect ending, and we get the perfect series finale for Royals Pains.
This medical drama with heart never lost its touch throughout its 8 seasons. I am so sad to see it go, but I am glad it is going out in a style fitting for the show. It has been a great run and I am thankful we had it as long as we did.
So I must say thank you to the cast and crew for a show that only got better with each passing episode. Royal Pains might be gone, but it will never be forgotten.
