Dancing with the Stars is making a big change for its 25th season |

During past seasons, Dancing with the Stars has cast controversial people like Bristol Palin, Rick Perry and Marla Maples to compete on the show for ratings, but not this upcoming one. Tom Bergeron told KABC’s George Pennacchio that the 25th season will “make you feel good. Expect a celebratory season without heavy drama!” I am all for that because I hate the stunt casting. I want it to be about the dancing and with people who are real stars. Something that has not been part of the show for a while.
When it comes to who I want to put on their dancing shows, I really hope they get Baby Daddy’s Melissa Peterman, The Gong Show’s host Tommy Maitland and Perfect Stranger’s Bronson Pinchot, who has been trying to lose weight since he saw himself on Battle of the Network Stars, to join the show. Who do you want to see on season 25? ABC has not announced when we will find out who will be competing, but it should be soon because the season premiere is less than a month away on September 18th.
UPDATE: George Pennacchio says that they will announce the new cast of Dancing with the Stars this Thursday!

William Shatner is 86 years old, Tom Bergeron is almost 25 years younger than him and Josh Groban is about 25 years younger than the Dancing with the Stars host. Even though there is 50 years between the three men, that did not stop them from doing 21 shots of beer when they were hanging out.
Could you imagine those three men drunk together? That would be a laugh out loud riot. The Shat would probably talk even slower that he normally, Grobs would sing corny songs with his sexy voice and The Berg is giving commentary about it all. In other words a blast that I wish I was at because it would be a day I would never forget!

The Emmy nominations were announced today and once again they suck. If your show is on HBO, Showtime, FX or Netflix, then you have a good chance of getting nominated. If not, then you didn’t get nominated.
The biggest snubs were The Carmichael Show, Conan, American Horror Story: Hotel’s Lady Gaga, Crazy Ex-Girlfriend’s Rachel Bloom, Undateable: Live and Sharknado 3. Also missing was The Big Bang Theory and Orange is the New Black from the major categories.
I didn’t post the announcement because Anthony Anderson was really annoying. I used to like him, but since Black-ish became a little bit of a hit, he has become so full of himself. And now that it got it three noms, he will have an ego as huge as one of our Presidential candidates.
What I did like was that American Crime Story Courtney B Vance and Sterling K Brown, and UnReal’s Constance Zimmer got noms, but other than them shows that people don’t watch were nominated.
Making Jimmy Kimmel’s job much harder when he hosts the Emmys on September 18th.

Yesterday, there were rumors that Ginger Zee might not be able to dance during tonight’s Dancing with the Stars’ finale and turns out she might not be the only one who won’t be there tonight. Tom Bergeron was meditating before tonight’s live show and he got stuck in the Lotus position. Thus, unless someone uncrosses him, he might not be able to host tonight.
He’s sitting and he can’t unsit. Is there a Life Alert button for that?
UPDATE: Tom Bergeron is still stuck in a Lotus position, but he is on the move. He might make it to the show after all. The camera will just have to pan down to see him.

Bob Saget’s TV daughter, Jodie Sweeten, is on Dancing with the Stars and he really wants her to win. So much so, he is asked Tom Bergeron, the man who replaced him on America’s Funniest Video’s, to fix Dancing with the Stars to make it happen. Did Bergeron agree to do it? At least not on camera. We will find out in a few weeks if he agreed to do it off camera.
But I don’t think he would do that. Although without the Houghs on the ABC dancing competition show, to me the show doesn’t seem as fixed as it has in the past. So maybe there is a new professional the Judges are angling to win the Mirrorball trophy. That’s who Saget should really go after.
