Ray Romano talks threesomes!
December 7th, 2010 under David Letterman, Ray Romano, TNT/TBS/TCM. [ Comments: none ]

Out of all the people I thought I would hear talk about threesomes, Ray Romano was on the bottom of the list. That was until last night when he was on The Late Show with David Letterman and the Men of a Certain Age star told him how his wife asked him if they were to have a Ménage à trois which friend would he like to join in. He let the man who reportedly has a problems with his interns in on how not to answer the question. So after listening to his to what he said, do you he will be sharing his bed with wife and one of her friends anytime soon?
BTW I am so happy Men of a Certain Age is back on TNT every Monday at 10p for its second season, that show just gets better with age!!!

George Lopez is a fugly woman
August 9th, 2010 under George Lopez, TNT/TBS/TCM. [ Comments: none ]

For some reason George Lopez dressed up as a woman for Teen Choice Awards and boy he is an ugly girl. I don’t know if he was trying to look like Snooki, Kristen Stewart or the fourth Kardashin sister, hopefully we will find out why he wore a black short dress tonight on Fox at 8p and it was for a skit on the show. Because if he is a secret cross-dresser, I will start a petition to ban him from shopping in woman’s apparel forever because he is one fugly woman. He is so ugly, he make Khloe Kardashian look pretty and more feminine than normal.
BTW Ken Jeong needs to get some sun because he is whiter than ghost.

TNT is sticking with Southland
April 26th, 2010 under TNT/TBS/TCM. [ Comments: none ]

TNT announced today that they are renewing the show that NBC cancelled. Southland will begin its 10 episode second season on TNT and third season in total in January.
I have to admit, I have never seen the show but I love when a cancelled show gets a second life like Southland was given one by TNT. My hat is off to TNT for sticking with the show. I hope this sends a message to the networks that one network’s loss might be another one’s gain. Too bad another net didn’t pick up either Moonlight or Swingtown because maybe us fans would still be watching them.
BTW off the top of my head here are some shows that have switched networks…Golden Girls, Taxi, Charles in Charge, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, JAG, Scrubs and now Southland. Some did better on their new channels than others and I am glad most of those show (minus Scrubs and JAG) was given one last chance!

CBS, TNT, Fox and ABC Family are picking up shows like crazy!
January 14th, 2010 under CBS, Fox, Freeform, TNT/TBS/TCM. [ Comments: none ]

CBS announced today that it has picked up the #1 new show of the season NCIS LA and the well liked The Good Wife for a second season. Both shows have done really well for CBS on Tuesdays, so it is no surprise that CBS is sticking with them.
Also coming back for a second season is TNT’s critically acclaimed show Men of a Certain Age that stars Ray Romano, Scott Bakula and Andre Braugher. Can I tell you I love this show! I am one of the few people that didn’t love Everybody Loves Raymond, but I am loving this show so check it Mondays at 10p on TNT.
Here is something to sing about, Fox is bringing back the most talked about show of the new season, Glee for a second one. As if there was any doubt that they would!
Finally ABC Family had its highest ratings yet for The Secret Life of the American Teenager and Make It or Break It when they had their season premiere last week, so they wasted no time to announce that they will bring them both shows for another season.
All the above shows join the pick ups of ABC’s Wednesday night comedies The Middle, Modern Family and Cougar Town.

Brittany Curran talks about TNT’s Men of a Certain Age
December 8th, 2009 under TNT/TBS/TCM. [ Comments: 2 ]

The absolutely awwwdorable Brittany Curran is starring as Ray Romano’s daughter on TNT’s new critically acclaimed new show Men of a Certain Age that airs Mondays at 10p, and the 19 year old actress is someone everyone is going to be talking about. I got to talk to her at the premiere of Hallmark Channel’s Christmas at Canaan and she told me about the show and which of the actors her mom and her have a crush on!
Brittany plays Romano’s teenage daughter Lucy and she described her as “I’m kind of like an All-American girl. I think there’s room for rebellion. I feel like there is, I hope so because I want a rebellious character.” I too would like to see her character have some rebellion going on, after all her parents go through divorce on the show. She did tell me in an upcoming episode Lucy will have a boyfriend and that the actor who plays him was really cute.
But before she thought the actor playing her boyfriend was cute, there was another actor on the show she had a crush on. She told me, “I always thought Ray was really cute. I always got a little jealous that Patricia Heaton’s character got to kiss him on the show.” Does she still have a crush on him? You will have to watch the above interview to find out. But she did tell me that when she did her screen test for the Men of a Certain Age, she had to try her hardest not to start laughing. Luckily she remained professional and got the chance to work with the man behind one of her favorite shows. She is not the person in her family that thought Everybody Loves Raymond. She shared with me that her grandmother owns every episode of the show on DVD and Brittany would go over to go over to her house to watch the show. So has her grandmother met Ray Ramono? She told me that grandmother came out to a taping and Ray went over and gave her a big hug. Her grandmother joked with him, I am kind of like your mom because my granddaughter is playing your daughter. That comment was kind of like déjà vu for the young actress because when she met Doris Roberts she said to her you are kind of like my grandmother because I am playing your TV son’s daughter. Seriously how cute is that story? While her grandmother and her are both fans of Ray Romano, her mother and I both prefer Scott Bakula.
Talking about the men of Men of a Certain age, she told me what makes it really makes this show work is that “Scott and Ray and Andre (Braugher) have the best chemistry together because they all have different perspectives of comedy and drama. So when you put the three together like they just balance each other out so well and are so funny.” I remembered what she told me when I watched the first three episodes and she really hit the nail on the head with that. Sincerely I can’t wait to see what else is coming up with this enjoyable show in the upcoming weeks especially what will happen with Brittany’s character Lucy.
Brittany Curran is definitely one to watch and you can catch her on Disney Channel’s The Suite Life on Deck and The Suite Life with Zack and Cody. You can also see in Legally Blondes that is out now on DVD. But it is most important to watch every on Men of a Certain Age Monday night on TNT at 10p.
