Is this Star’s replacement? |

A Network leak has informed us that Star Jones’ replacement on The View has been chosen. In fact , our source insists it was a done deal several months ago. Nobody’s admitting anything yet, but we hear that Bo Griffin, who has been described as the "Oprah of Radio," is primed to step into Star’s Payless shoes. So who IS this woman, you might ask. Bo was a big Miami radio personality for years before she came to Hollywood to do TV shows including "Men are from Mars, Women are from Venus," which she hosted. For three years she was a roving reporter on Fox’s Good Day Live and then she left LA and took over The Morning Show on 98.9 FM in Greenville, South Carolina. Her popular show featured many of Oprah’s themes – relationships, self improvement etc. If our snitch is right and she relocates to New York, we wonder if Bo will have to close the Goddess dress shop she opened in Greenville . Coincidentally or not, she bears more than a passing physical resemblence to Star, but is said to be "much nicer."

OMG, I loved her in Miami on Power 96’s morning show! Seriously I hope she gets it!! Go Bo!

Shannen Doherty filling on The View |

Shannen Doherty will be among the co-hosts filling the chair vacated by Star Jones on "The View" until the show goes on hiatus August 4.
Doherty is scheduled to co-host July 31 and Aug. 1. At this point, "The View" has booked "Dancing with the Stars" judge Carrie Ann Inaba (July 10), "General Hospital" co-star Kelly Monaco (July 11) and "American Idol" runner-up Katharine McPhee (July 19). Insiders say these summer subs aren’t auditioning for a full-time gig on the show; that will kick off after Rosie O’Donnell debuts as "View" co-host Sept. 5 and other guest co-hosts are brought in. That’s not to say, however, that one of these summer subs won’t be asked back if she makes a good impression.

Star Jones has nothing on her. I pray for the girls when she is on.

Dear Friends-
How can I express my gratitude?
Thank you all for lending me your words of encouragement while going through such a challenging few days. I must say that had it not been for all of your emails and letters, this past week would have been very difficult.
It’s like Maya Angelou has shared "I’ve learned that no matter what happens or how bad it seems today, life does go on, and it will be better tomorrow".
It has been my great privilege and pleasure to share my heart, my life and my views with you for the last nine years as co-host of "The View". Together with my colleagues we have strived to represent your thoughts, needs, hopes and desires. I hope we did it with honor.
I’ve said this on many occasions, but I truly believe that inside every obstacle lies an opportunity and I look forward to what the future holds and hopefully you will all join me.
Thank you for your support.
Best Wishes, Star

In every article she says she owes it to the audience or she owes it to viewers, but she never says I owed it to my fans. lol
Ousted cast member Star Jones Reynolds said Thursday she was told she could "make up a story" about why she was leaving "The View" and her colleagues would have gone along with it.
The truth – that Reynolds’ ABC bosses didn’t want her back because her personal popularity was plummeting – might never have been known without the fight.
"They said you can make up a story," Reynolds said. "The audience didn’t deserve for me to make up a story. That’s not fair."
Longtime ABC newswoman Walters has confirmed the intended deception, but said it was done to protect Reynolds’ reputation and feelings.
ABC said it canned Reynolds immediately after Tuesday’s show because her announcement, and an interview with People magazine, took the network by surprise. Walters told The Associated Press that she felt betrayed and ABC said it couldn’t trust Reynolds to tell the truth if she remained on the air.
Reynolds said she was "having trouble reconciling" ABC’s statement with being told earlier that she could lie about her exit.

and from Entertainment Tonight
Star revealed that she just wanted to be honest with viewers about the fact that her contract was not renewed for a tenth season: "I simply told what happened," which included her telling People magazine that she felt like she’d been fired.

Brandy replacing Star? |

Could Star Jones Reynolds’s replacement on The View be Brandy? The singer and actress will fill in on the ABC morning show next Wednesday and Friday, her rep tells PEOPLE exclusively.
The 27-year-old former Moesha star is currently a judge on America’s Got Talent, an NBC reality show produced by American Idol’s Simon Cowell. "America’s Got Talent has really opened a lot of doors for me," she tells PEOPLE. "I want to do a lot more TV."
Her View stint could lead to a full-time job. "These tryouts are for consideration for the permanent gig," a source close to the situation tells PEOPLE. "They plan to have a few people trying out, like what CBS did (before hiring) Craig Ferguson for the Late Late Show."
People
If she is anything like she is on America’s Got Talent, boy do I feel for the girls of the View. She sucks on that show.
