If someone told you that The Killers and Bruce Springsteen would release a single together, you probably would not have believed them. Well, they did and Dustland is out now.
I just want to know how this collaboration came about because they are such polar opposites. One is a band, and one is a solo artist (mostly). One is from New Jersey, and one is from Las Vegas. One is Classic Rock, and one is Modern Indie Rock. Other than both being men with defining voices, I don’t know what they have in common.
However, that could be why this song works so well. We need more opposites to attract like this in the music world.
The Killers have been a big part of Jimmy Kimmel Live since the ABC late night show started out. Well, the band decided to give him a little early holiday present and asked him if he wanted to record their Christmas Carol with them this year.
So they all got together and collaborated to create a new Christmas Classic called Joel the Lump of Coal. So listen to the song that you will be singing nonstop from today until December 26th!
And if you love it as much as I do, then you will want to download the song. It is available on iTunes for just $1.29 and proceeds from the holiday tune are being donated to (RED). It’s the gift that keeps on giving!
Jimmy Kimmel must have the cojones of steel because he actually dared to do Kanye West while Brandon Flowers was talking during a Killers’ show. I say dare because a few years ago The Killers were on Jimmy Kimmel Live! and they let him know how they prep for their shows. And as you can see from the skit below they live up to their name. If you have never seen how The Killers got their name before, you really have to watch the below video. It is on of the funniest bits I have ever seen on TV!!!
BTW David Duchovny will be a guest on JKL! tonight on ABC at 12:05a…that is if The Killers didn’t kill him for doing a Kanye to them!

I had heard how freaking funny this clip is, but I had never seen it until they replayed on last night’s show in order to give residuals to his unemployed writers.
All I have to say that is the funniest thing I have seen on Jimmy Kimmel since he painted Aunt Chippy’s house and evil Donny Osmond and you know I love Jimmy so this big!
OMG I just love how straight-faced The Killers played it and Jimmy’s reactions!!!
I seriously keep LMAO everytime I see it, and I still watch in shock as they go after a ’70s DILF at the end of the skit.
Don’t tell me that is not one of the funniest things you have seen in a really long time!
