The CW announce when their shows are coming back this winter and some of them won’t be roaring like a lion until March.

I wonder if the viewers will be back in March, after waiting so long for new eps, to watch 90210 and Melrose Place especially since they are going against American Idol and Lost?
The CW has picked up The Vampire Diaries for a full season and had ordered 5 more episodes of Melrose Place. I am so happy that The CW decided to sink their teeth into The Vampires Diaries for the back nine after last Thursday’s episode that changed up so many things. I could not believe how many big reveals that happened during that show, that I having dying to see how everything will all turn out throughout the season. When it comes to Melrose Place I am bummed they only got 5 more eps, but 18 is better than 13. It will be interesting to see if that number will change after Heather Locklear guest stars on the show next month.
BTW on a TV note in general, it looks like we will be finding out in the next few days what other shows will get additional orders and which only air the 13 episodes that were originally ordered. At this rate it looks like only one fall show (The Beautiful Life) will not air all their ordered episodes. I am not sure if this would be a first time that only one new fall show was cancelled, but it is definitely a rarity.
The Beautiful Life is dead according to The Live Feed. Ashton Kutcher’s first attempt of doing drama did not live long because it was cancelled after just two episodes. The show about making it in modeling was watched by less than a million viewers on Wednesday which pretty much was their final nail in the coffin. As of one those less than a million people who watching it, I am bummed to see it go.
I hate to say it, but I was hoping with all the publicity surrounding Mischa Barton that it was going to help the show but looks like it didn’t. Oh well, one less hour my DVR has to record!

On Thursday night Victoria Beckham made a statement at New York Fashion Week in a Giles Dean mini-dress and then yesterday Sara Paxton wore the same thing to The Beautiful Life premiere. So who do you think wore the dress, that I think looks like it is made out of wrapping paper, better? I think Sara wins this fashion battle hands down just because I think the dress looks better without the thigh high boots. On a boots note, you know that Posh Spice is using them right now to stick them up where the sun don’t shine to the person that allowed her to wear dress that would be worn by someone else so soon after she did.
BTW on a Sara Paxton note, The Beautiful Life premieres on The CW this Wednesday.
Vampire Diaries is the story of two brothers…one good, one bad and both are Vampires. Stefan is the good one who returns home to his hometown that was slaughtered by his kind decades beforehand. He is now reformed and at his first day back home and at high school (I guess even Vampires need an education) he meets Elena, a girl who looks exactly like his lover from 100 years ago. To say these two have chemistry would be an understatement! But there budding love might be short lived because Stefan’s bloodsucking brother is back in town and he can’t stop feeding on human. Will the town remember their past horrors and start to put the pieces together as more and more mauled bodies keep showing up? I know I can’t wait to find out starting tonight on The CW at 8p!!!
I watched the pilot for this a few months ago and I loved it. I re-watched it again this morning before I worte this review to see if I would still feel the same way and the answer is no. I actually liked it even more! The cast is eye candy, but they are also good at acting out the different roles the play. Stefan is played by Paul Wesley and he has angelic look behind his bad boy image. He looks like he should be bad, but you can tell he good. Now Ian Somerhalder, who plays Damon is the opposite, he looks like an angel but underneath that face you can tell he is a demon waiting to get out. Who knew Boone from Lost could be so evil, and you will like that he is as much as I do! Following 90210’s Shenae Grimes from Degrassi to The CW is Nina Dobrev and she is so good as Elena. It is so nice to see the Degrassi alumni make it to primetime. Hopefully Nina will handle it better and I think she will.
Now when it comes to shows about Vampires, I am a sucker for them. But they have to be worth my while to keep me interested and this one so does! What I really like is they will be changing up the mythology we know about Vampires and I am intrigued with that notion. Heck I am just beyond intrigued to watch this show play out starting tonight on The CW at 8p!
And oh yeah make sure to stick around at 9p because all hell is breaking loose on Supernatural and that is bad for The Winchester boys, but good for us because it is going to be a heck of season fighting to restore our world to the way it was before they let Lucifer out to play!!!
