Ever wonder what the reverse shot looks like during a love scene?
January 23rd, 2013 under The CW. [ Comments: none ]

For years we have heard how actors say that romantic scenes are anything but when they are filming them. Looking at this picture that Austin Butler Tweeted from The Carrie Diaries’ set, I think we can totally understand why they say that. I would hate to have that many cameras in my face when I am making out with someone. I mean would you like it?
BTW I love the woman in the corner who seems to be enjoying the kiss between AnnaSophia Robb and Butler. But then again after watching the show that airs Mondays at 8p, I get why she has such a smile on her face!

The Carrie Diaries is darling!
January 14th, 2013 under The CW. [ Comments: none ]

The Carrie Diaries debuts on The CW tonight at 8p and you don’t want to miss out on Carrie Bradshaw’s teenage years!
We have seen Carrie Bradshaw all grown up in Sex and the City and now we are seeing her as a 16 year old girl. Carrie’s (AnnaSophia Robb) life was much different back in 1984. She just lost her mom to cancer a few months earlier, she was living in Connecticut with her dad (Matt Letscher) and her younger sister (Stefania Owen), she was interning at a law firm and she was a virgin who wasn’t dating anyone. Her best friends were not Charlotte, Samantha and Miranda, but they were Mouse (Ellen Wong), Maggie (Kate Findlay) and Walt (Brendan Dolling) and the latter two are dating. Walt has a secret that will change everything, but he just doesn’t realize what that secret is just yet.
There is a new boy at school and all the girls want Sebastian Kydd (Austin Butler) and he only has eyes on Carrie. That is not going to go over well with the popular girls at school, but who cares when the hottest guy wants you!
Carrie’s dad wants to make his daughter happy, so he gets her an internship at a law firm in Manhattan. On her first day in The City she meets Larissa (Freema Agyeman) who works for Interview Magazine at a store and they immediately hit it off. Now the teen is partying with the coolest people at the hottest places and they have no idea just how young she is! She is going to have to fake it if she wants to keep up with them and since we know our girl we know she can do it.
In 1984, The City was a much different place and we are going to see it through Carrie’s innocent eyes. And because of that innocence we get a show that all you Sex and the City fans can enjoy. For those of you (like me) who didn’t watch SATC, you will still find yourself loving this show because it is just so sweet and enticing. Just like Manhattan in 1984!

ABC is diving into winter with a lot of new shows
December 4th, 2012 under ABC, The CW. [ Comments: none ]

ABC is changing up its lineup in 2013 and it will be interesting to see if they are making the right choices.
On Tuesday, January 22nd The Taste keeps the 8p spot warm until March when Celebrity Diving makes a huge splash on to our TVs. On February 5th Body of Proof is back in the departing Private Practice time slot. On Valentine’s Day Zero Hero will see if it is a show we will love. Then on March 3rd Red Window opens up the slot that was closed by 666 Park Avenue. Then in April we get stuck with two very unfunny comedies that should bomb big time even though How to Live with Your Parents (for the Rest of Your Life) will follow Modern Family. The last new show to air on ABC is it worst and that is Family Tools that needs a lot of fixing.
Now I am not bashing the comedies because ABC is pulling The Neighbors for them, I am knocking because they suck more than a Dyson.
ABC wasn’t the only one announcing when a midseason show will see the light of TV because The CW announced Cult will be our latest addiction starting on February 19th. I think Cult will surprise a lot of people just by how good it is, I know I was blown away. And I wasn’t brainwashed during the screening to tell you just how awesome it is…or was I?

The last three new fall shows to find out their fate, got the news today
November 28th, 2012 under ABC, Fox, The CW. [ Comments: 1 ]

There were three new shows from the fall season waiting to find out if their networks will ask for some additional episodes beyond their original order and today they found out. Over at Fox they finally confirmed that The Mob Doctor will be swimming with the fishes after it airs all of its episodes. The CW pulled the plug on Emily Owens, M.D., but all 13 episodes will air on the network. While The Mob Doctor deserved its fate, I am sad that Owens was cancelled because the show finally found its way in the last few weeks.
While it was a bad day for medical dramas the news was a little bit better for Malibu Country because ABC wants 5 more episodes from the sitcom starring Reba. The network also asked for the same of Last Man Standing. When it comes to LMS, tell me I am not the only one who wants them to bring back the original eldest daughter because the new one has ruined the show. I thought recasts were supposed to make the show better not worse.

Arrow’s Stephen Amell suffers for his art
October 30th, 2012 under DC Comics, Stephen Amell, The CW. [ Comments: none ]

Yesterday Stephen Amell Tweeeted, “I just banged my calf so hard. There’s nothing left to do but laugh, cry a little and maybe pee in my pants.” Then the Arrow star added, “My calf hurts so bad I just invented a six-syllable curse word and then proactively apologized to the crew. #CliffordTheCalf”. No word what it is, but I can’t wait to find out what it is so I can use it myself.
Well today he Tweeted the above picture and said, “It was worth it, but my leg definitely shouldn’t look like that.” I don’t know, but I think his calf looks more like a superheroes now that is all swollen like that. Granted the superheroes I am thinking of are the Hulk and the Thing.
Oh and Amell may play a tough guy on TV every Wednesday on The CW at 8p, but in real life he still has to answer to his mom. Because after he posted the picture he Tweeted, “Note to self: Don’t put pictures of your comically swollen leg on twitter without first explaining to your Mom you’re 100% ok.” Good idea! Hopefully you won’t hurt yourself like that again so you don’t have to worry her and all of your fans!
BTW no word when that episode will air so we can say how he did that, so I guess we will just have to watch Arrow every Wednesday until we see it.
