Kimmel to do Leno and Leno to do Kimmel on Thursday

Jimmy Kimmel will be a guest on Jay Leno's show and then Jay Leno will be a guest on Jimmy Kimmel's show according to the NY Times!

In the course of meetings with the writers’ guild over what the hosts would be permitted to do and telephone discussions between the shows about mutual interests, Mr. Leno and Mr. Kimmel established a relationship, the late-night representatives said. Mr. Kimmel even offered some words of support for Mr. Leno on Wednesday during his first show back.

Mr. Leno, who has been the leading star in late-night television for well over a decade, extended an invitation to Mr. Kimmel, who then reciprocated, the representatives said.

Neither have been on the others show before Thursday, so it will be interesting to see these two interviewing the other one. Plus you know me anything that gives Kimmel more publicity is a good thing in my book!!!
Hopefully the New York hosts will do the same for each other because the WGA is trageting Conan O"Brien, Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert on Monday when the latter two join Conan and go back on the air for the first time since the strike started.

Amen to Jimmy Kimmel!!!
January 3rd, 2008 under Jimmy Kimmel, Talk Shows, WGA Strike. [ Comments: none ]

via Jimmy Kimmel Live!!!
Jimmy Kimmel has said what I have been saying about the WGA strike and the late night talk show hosts. I guess that is why I like him so much, great minds think alike!!! What was not seen in that monologue is that he has segments on his show that showed past clips which he called so the unemployed writers can get residuals. Way to go Jimmy!!!!
Here are the other monologues in no particular order…

Personally I think that Jay Leno and Conan O’Brien who did not have their writers did a funnier monologue than David Letterman and Craig Ferguson who did have their writers. I have to admit that was the first time I laughed at one Leno’s monologue in a really long time and the first time I actually saw one of Conan’s. I also have to admit I got a few chuckles with Craig’s but not many with David Letterman.

Who wore it better?

Even coming back to TV could not get David Letterman and Conan O'Brien to shave their beards.  Letterman looks like what Santa Claus looks like after Christmas is done and puts on his day job attire while Conan O'Brien looks like he is wearing a fake beard. Guys you are back on TV…shave. Jimmy Kimmel did and he made Guillermo shave his goatee off during the show.

The boys of Late Night are back tonight!!
January 2nd, 2008 under Jimmy Kimmel, Talk Shows, WGA Strike. [ Comments: none ]

Jimmy Kimmel, Jay Leno, Conan O'Brien, David Letterman and Craig Ferguson are all joining Carson Daly and returning to TV for the first time since the WGA strike began two months ago.
Kimmel, Leno and O'Brien are returning without their writers and are rumored to have the disadvantage of booking guests because stars will not cross the line to appear on their show. I can tell you there are many great musical acts, sports stars, Presidential candidates, comedians and reality stars who will be willing to fill the slots and sometimes they make much better guests! The writers have said they will be picketing outside Jay Leno and Jimmy Kimmel's studios in protest of them returning. I understand what the writers are trying to say, but these guys are returning to help their non-writing staff and not because they want to.
So when it comes to supporting the talk show hosts, I am supporting Jimmy Kimmel, Jay Leno, Conan O'Brien and Carson Daly only! So good luck to you guys, I know you need it!
And BTW Jimmy Kimmel is back….Yahoo!!!

David Letterman and Craig Ferguson will be joining Jimmy Kimmel, Jay Leno, Conan O'Brien and did I mention Jimmy Kimmel by returning to the late night airwaves on Wednesday. But unlike the others and Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert (who return on the 7th) and Spike Feresten (on the 12th) both shows will be returning with their writers after reaching an agreement with The WGA according Variety.
I am glad that all of late night is coming back together!!! And as you guys know I am over the moon to have a new episode of Jimmy Kimmel on the 2nd!!!
