J.J. Abrams can only do one Star movie at this time!
December 26th, 2012 under Star Trek, Star Wars. [ Comments: none ]

When it was announced that Disney was going to make 3 new Star Wars films, I am sure I am not the only one who was hoping that J.J. Abrams would direct at least one of them. Well the man who brought us Felicity gave us some news that was as devastating as that horrible haircut she got. According to The Hollywood Reporter he told Empire Magazine, “There were the very early conversations, and I quickly said that, because of my loyalty to Star Trek and also just being a fan, I wouldn’t even want to be involved in the next version of those things.” Then he added, “I declined any involvement very early on. I’d rather be in the audience not knowing what was coming, rather than being involved in the minutiae of making them.”
So now that he is out, it will be interesting to see who will get their dream job.

Top Directors audition to do Star Wars!
November 2nd, 2012 under Conan O'Brien, Star Wars. [ Comments: none ]

Earlier this week Disney bought out George Lucas’ company and they announced that would be releasing some new Star War films. Well any director that is 50 and under would give everything they have just for the opportunity to direct one of the upcoming chapters. And so far three of them have thrown their hats and/or glasses into race for that job. Yesterday on Conan, the audition tapes were released for Michael Moore, Woody Allen and Kevin Smith’s and I think it already looks better than Episode 1, 2 and 3 combined! Maybe all three of them could do it together, it would still be better than anything Lucas has done since the late ’80s.
Seriously you can tell Conan had a lot of fun with this and I enjoyed watching what they did! Hopefully they will do more of them!
BTW who do you think should direct the next Star Wars installment? My friend thinks Ben Affleck would be a good choice, and I would love if J.J. Abrams and Joss Whedon could do it together. It will be interesting to see who it will be?
Finally my friend who camped out for Episodes 1, 2 and 3 is undecided as of now if will be on line in 2015 for Episode 7. I am sure he will be, but Lucas has turned him against the franchise so you never know. And my love of Jar Jar Binks has turned him against me. Yes I know I am his sole fan.

Before everyone worshiped Mark Hamill for being Luke Skywalker in Star Wars, there was only one person worshiping him on The Partridge Family. How cute was the 19 year old in that 1971 episode?

The Star Wars I Used to Know
June 30th, 2012 under Star Wars. [ Comments: none ]

Some Star Wars fans felt the force with Gotye and created a parody video to his chart topping song Somebody I Used to Know. Let’s just say it so freaking brilliant that it would even make Darth Vader crack a smile.
Since I actually know people who camped out for the last three Star Wars movies on Hollywood Blvd, I had to post this for them and all you Star Wars fans.
Here are some other Star Wars tribute videos by Teddie Films:

What does Carrie Fisher’s daughter find most embarrassing about her mom?
June 1st, 2012 under Craig Ferguson, Star Wars. [ Comments: none ]

Carrie Fisher was on The Late Late Show yesterday and she shared with Craig Ferguson what her daughter finds most embarrassing about the Star Wars Princess Leia because there are many things. Well that thing is when Fisher goes out braless, so now she always makes sure to wear one. To which the CBS late night host responded with that he is wearing one too. Yes figured out where he wears it. Same place as the gift she gave him from Australia. On that note she brought him more presents from her Asian trip and one of them goes perfect with those Kangaroo Balls.
