Before Christian Slater was in Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country, he owned the Star Wars Darth Vader Collector’s Case. The force was strong with him even when he was just 10 in that 1980 ad.
Mark Hamill has been voicing The Joker for several cartoons over the last 25 years, and yesterday he met Jared Leto who has played him in Suicide Squad for like 25 months. Yesterday, the two of them met at GQ’s Men of the Year and they did not to have a big red smile painted on their faces to show us how happy they are to meet each other. Granted how can we tell that a smile is not painted on underneath their thick beards?
Either way how amazing it is to see the two actors so enamored with each other? Maybe Luke Skywaler can play The Joker’s dad in the rumored Suicide Squad spinoff? How awesome woudl that be?
On August 15, 2017, LucasFilms announced that they hired Colin Trevorrow to direct the last Star Wars film and today they announced that it is his last day on the production. They said, “Lucasfilm and Colin Trevorrow have mutually chosen to part ways on Star Wars: Episode IX. Colin has been a wonderful collaborator throughout the development process but we have all come to the conclusion that our visions for the project differ. We wish Colin the best and will be sharing more information about the film soon.”
The news is not really a surprise because last month there were reports they brought in a new writer to go over the script. Plus, he was universally panned for his movie Book of Henry that bombed at the box office. Finally, fans have not been happy with the Jurassic Park director working on this feature since he was offered the job.
No word who will replace him, but the movie was not slated to begin shooting until January. That means they have some time to find a new director. Unlike in July, when they parted ways with Phil Lord and Chris Miller from the Hans Solo movie and replaced them with Opie Cunningham aka Ron Howard after they already started filming.
When it comes to who I think should replace him, I say bring back J.J. Abrams! Why not?
Ron Howard, who has taken over as director of the Untitled Hans Solo movie, Tweeted a photo of Chewie looking at his dailies. In the corner of the photo, you can see our favorite Wookie touching foreheads with what looks like another forehead. Maybe another Wookie, so does that mean we will hear what how he sounds when he makes Wookie? Since it is Disney, most likely not. But I am sure it will sound just like Chewbacca always does when he does that scream.
What do you think is going on in that camera screen?

Before Harrison Ford was in Star Wars, he was caught in the middle of a ex-marital wars in Love, American Style. He looks the same now as he did when he was 24 in that 1969 episode.
