Geri Halliwell has pointed the finger at former bandmate Mel B for preventing the rumoured Spice Girls reunion for Live8 from taking place. "We were all ready apart from Mel B," explained Ginger Spice in an interview with OK! magazine. "Victoria said maybe it’s time to move on and I think she’s got a point." However, Halliwell – now mother to a six-month old daughter – refused to definitively quash all hope of a future reunion: "Maybe it’s better to keep the Spice Girls as a memory but never say never. A taxi driver said to me we could still do a reunion even if one of us didn’t want to do it."

MEL B’s romance with Eddie Murphy took another twist yesterday when sources close to the couple claimed she was pregnant. Pals of showbiz’s odd couple said the baby was conceived almost as soon as their relationship began and the former Spice Girl is four months gone. The couple are said to be delighted with the news and Mel "hasn’t stopped grinning" since she found out. She returned to Leeds last week to see her family and appeared to have a slight bump. She is now back in Los Angeles amid rumours she is set to have the comedian’s baby. An LA source said yesterday: "People have heard she is about four months pregnant, which is about as long as their relationship has been going on.

A nanny who looked after former Spice Girl Geri Halliwell’s baby Bluebell has been arrested by police investigating an assault on the child. The flame-haired singer, who gave birth to Bluebell in May, phoned police to report her tot was "bruised and bawling" after being babysat by a golf course employee in August. Halliwell had gone for a walk at the Hampshire, England, club, entrusting Bluebell to a temporary member of staff there. She came back to find Bluebell distressed with bruises on her arm, and she decided to call the police after the nanny refused to explain the marks. he Metropolitan Police passed details of the alleged assault to their Child Abuse Investigation Unit, who held a woman in connection with the alleged incident on Wednesday. A police statement yesterday confirms, "A 30-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of actual bodily harm in connection with an assault on a child. She was taken to a central London police station and bailed for return this month." A source close to Halliwell said, "It is a huge relief to Geri that the nanny faces the British justice system."

No sooner has EDDIE MURPHY announced his love for Mel Brown, I’ve caught her out with a mystery man. Scary seemed to forget about her funnyman fella back in the States as she spent a bizarre evening cosying up to a guy in London. It could all mean that 2-Become-1 for Mel. My LA man told me last night: "Eddie will be fuming at this and I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s all over." Mel, dressed in a sexy red jacket, and her partner in a suit and scarf, arrived at the Electric Cinema in Notting Hill arm-in-arm. One onlooker said: "Mel and the man were focused entirely on each other and looked like a couple. I guess it could be innocent if he was a VERY close friend—but it doesn’t look good." Once inside they spent the evening curled up on the sofa and twirling each other around the dancefloor. They were the last to leave the club at 2.30am and headed up the road—linking arms AGAIN when these snaps were taken. My source told me: "Mel saw the photographers and panicked. She was swearing and said ‘This picture is going to cause me so much trouble, please don’t sell it’." Mel has been dating Hollywood legend Eddie since they met at a friend’s party in June. Things looked to be hotting up and the pair recently headed to Hawaii for a holiday with their kids. Friends have said they even discussed marriage. Looks like the Scary one could have some explaining to do first…

I guess Karma is getting back at Eddie Murphy for cheating on his wife. Scary Spice should’ve waited until they were married before she cheated on him, so she should get some money out of the divorce!
