Michael McKean was walking in Manhattan yesterday when he was struck by a car. According to The NY Daily News the actor was rushed to the hospital in critical condition, but after doctors looked at him they upgraded his condition stable. His publicist Harriet Steinberg said he suffered a broken leg and “he’ll be okay, hopefully he’ll be fine. It’s pretty devastating.”
The actor is starring in the Broadway show The Best Men and yesterday was the first time he missed a call in his whole career.
Hopefully he will be better soon and will never have to miss another show again.

Nick Stahl reported missing
May 16th, 2012 under Sick Bay. [ Comments: none ]

Nick Stahl who starred in Terminator 3, Bully, Carnivale and Twist was reported missing by his wife. The 32 year old has been missing since May 9th and his wife fears it might be drug related according to TMZ. She fears he might’ve gone down to Los Angeles’ Skid Row and got himself into trouble here.
The actor has been as known for his problems as much as his acting and I pray that he is found OK and gets the help he needs. If you see him please contact the police and let them know where he is.

Jeff Conaway is reportedly in critical condition due to an apparent overdose. His family told the LA Times he is “hospitalized at Encino Hospital Medical Center with pneumonia and is unconscious.”
The 60 year old’s substance abuse problems are well known due to his appearances on Celebrity Rehab, and it sounds like he has relapsed.
I really hope that the Taxi star pulls through and when he does that he finally gets the help he so desperately needs. And more importantly that he doesn’t do it on TV like he has done before.

Tracy Morgan got a new kidney
December 20th, 2010 under Sick Bay. [ Comments: none ]

Tracy Morgan is going to miss a few episodes of 30 Rock because he had a kidney transplant and not because he is hiding from the women he impregnated. According to Entertainment Weekly, he had the surgery about a week and a half ago and his absence will be written in to the show.
Morgan was diagnosed with diabetes in 1996, but ignored it until he got really sick from it during the first season of the show and from then on took better care of himself.
BTW now that we know he is doing better, I always thought if he was going to get a transplant it was going to be a liver one…

Jean Claude Van Damme got a crappy birthday present from his body for his 50th birthday. The day after he hit the half century mark he reportedly had a minor heart attack while filming Weapon in New Orleans according to news.coma.au. Muscles From Brussels is said to have collapsed on the set, and is now home in Belgium recuperating with his wife. One report is saying production was halted on the film, but another said it is all but done and they just need close ups of the action star.
Hopefully he will be better soon. We all know he is a fighter so I am sure that is helping his odds for a full recovery.

UPDATE: JCVD has taken to his Facebook to deny that he had a heart attack:
