Ellen Pompeo has been wanting out of Grey’s Anatomy for years, and on February 23rd, it is finally going to happen. Meredith Grey will be leaving Seattle for Boston to work with Jackson Avery.

All I can say about this is don’t let the door hit you on the way out.

Ellen Pompeo will only be in 8 episodes of Grey’s Anatomy this season
August 3rd, 2022 under Shonda Rhimes. [ Comments: none ]

(ABC/Liliane Lathan)

If you watch Grey’s Anatomy for Ellen Pompeo, do I have some bad news for you. The actress will only appear in 8 episodes this season, according to Deadline. However, she will remain the medical drama’s narrator throughout the season.

It will be interesting to see how the series does in the ratings with Meredith Grey. If they do well or the same, then I will assume they will consider doing a 20th season without her whining about how the show has run out of ideas.

Personally, I don’t think anyone will miss her. Kind of like when NCIS lost Mark Harmon; the show went on as it always did. And Grey’s will be like Pompe-who?

In case you care, she is doing a Hulu series that is based on the real-life story that the horror film The Orphan was based on.

Are you going to miss her, or are you like finally?

Chandra Wilson addresses if next season is Grey’s Anatomy’s last one?
May 12th, 2022 under Michael Strahan, Shonda Rhimes. [ Comments: none ]

Chandra Wilson was on Good Morning America today, and Michael Strahan had a very important question for her.

The host wanted to know if the rumors are true that the next season of Grey’s Anatomy will be its last one? The actress told him, “I’m just saying, you don’t know what you are talking about. I’m just going to say, ‘Strahan doesn’t know what he is talking about.”

Then Strahan asked her where she wants her character to go? Wilson says she doesn’t tell the writers what to do because she likes to let them do what they do. In fact, she doesn’t know what they have planned for Miranda Bailey until the table read.

I bet the writers wished that Ellen Pompeo was exactly like Wilson. What you thought the same thing?

Now, let’s talk about how beautiful Wilson looked on GMA. Whoever styled her did a great job because she was slaying it.

The Bridgerton love affair continues on March 25th
March 9th, 2022 under Netflix, Shonda Rhimes. [ Comments: none ]

Last season, Bridgerton was all about Daphne Bridgerton finding love. On March 25th, it is all about her brother, Lord Anthony Bridgerton, doing the same. Will he find love just like his sister? It looks like from the trailer that he finds it and then some on the Netflix RomDran.

Or, as Netflix puts it, the second season of Bridgerton follows Lord Anthony Bridgerton (Jonathan Bailey), the eldest Bridgerton sibling and Viscount, as he sets out to find a suitable wife. Driven by his duty to uphold the family name, Anthony’s search for a debutante who meets his impossible standards seems ill-fated until Kate (Simone Ashley) and her younger sister Edwina (Charithra Chandran) Sharma arrive from India. When Anthony begins to court Edwina, Kate discovers the true nature of his intentions — a true love match is not high on his priority list — and decides to do everything in her power to stop the union. But in doing so, Kate and Anthony’s verbal sparring matches only bring them closer together, complicating matters on both sides. Across Grosvenor Square, the Featheringtons must welcome the newest heir to their estate while Penelope (Nicola Coughlan) continues to navigate the ton whilst keeping her deepest secret from the people closest to her.

Station 19 will continue to put out fires
January 11th, 2022 under Shonda Rhimes. [ Comments: none ]

ABC announced today that Station 19 will be back for a 6th season in the Fall. The news is not a surprise because it does better than Grey’s Anatomy in the overnights, the show it spun off of.

“The riveting storytelling and passionate fan base that Station 19 continues to cultivate is a testament to the unrelenting dedication of Krista Vernoff and the incredibly talented cast and crew,” stated Craig Erwich, president, Hulu Originals and ABC Entertainment. “Coupled with yesterday’s renewal of Grey’s Anatomy, the return of Station 19 ensures more crossover opportunities and a thrilling night of appointment television.”

I was hoping that since Station 19 is doing so well on its own, that we would be done with the crossover episodes. But I guess not. I guess I will have to fast forward through Grey’s to find the five minutes that actually make it a crossover. Yeah, I said it. They are not really crossovers.
