Bath & Body Works let’s us smell like Bridgerton
March 25th, 2024 under Netflix, Shonda Rhimes. [ Comments: none ]

Do you want to smell as sexy as Netflix & Chill? Well, now you can because the streaming service teamed up with Bath & Body Works to release a scent in honor of the Romantic show Bridgerton.

Starting today, you can pick up Diamond of the Season. The fragrance features notes of sparkling peach, spring daffodil, and radiant jasmine and is available in body care, candles, hand soaps, and sanitizers.

Along with this fragrance, BBW also released four other scents. Danbury Shortbread is yummy to the nose with hints of whipped vanilla, almonds, and sugar crystals. Wisteria Garden transports you there with the aroma of sweet rosewood, English rain, and lemon petals. You can inhale Queen Charlotte’s Tea with rich bergamot, bold citrus, and black tea leaves. Finally, the men have the manly scent of smooth amber, oakwood, and dried orchids with the Bridgerton Study.

“At Bath & Body Works, we aim to forever transform the viewing experience for millions of Netflix fans by allowing the power of fragrance to transport them like never before into their favorite stories and scenes,” said Maurice Cooper, Chief Customer Officer at Bath & Body Works. “Scent is the most evocative of all our senses—it heightens our emotions, experiences, and memories — and we want to take fandom for all those who love Bath & Body Works and Netflix to new levels through this inspiring new partnership.”

There will be more fragrances inspired by Netflix coming throughout the year.

Personally, I wish BBW would do this with other Netflix series. They could have one in honor of Sweet Magnolias that could smell like magnolias and freshly baked cookies. And for Stranger Things, it could throw it back to the ’80s with cotton candy, apples, and bubblegum. What shows do you wish they would team up on, and what would they smell like?

Station 19 is ending this season
December 9th, 2023 under Shonda Rhimes, Uncategorized. [ Comments: none ]

(ABC/James Clark)

ABC announced today that Station 19 will be ending with this upcoming season.

“For seven seasons, Station 19 has been a highlight of the ABC lineup thanks to Shonda [Rhimes] and Betsy [Beers’] incredible vision, beloved characters and compelling storytelling,” Craig Erwich, president, Disney Television Group told
. “With Zoanne [Clack] and Peter [Paige] at the helm of the upcoming farewell season, we have so much to look forward to, most notably the celebration of the show’s milestone 100th episode.”

Personally, I am surprised by their decision because it does better than Grey’s Anatomy, the show it spun off from. But I guess, now that they got 9-1-1, they thought they don’t need two shows about firefighters. However, CBS doesn’t have a problem with three shows about the FBI, and NBC has six Dick Wolf shows.

9-1-1 and Station 19 might have the same plot, but they are two very different shows. They could have survived on the same night together.

The final ten episodes will begin airing on March 14th.

Station 19 is still on fire with ABC
April 20th, 2023 under Shonda Rhimes. [ Comments: none ]

Every day this week, ABC has picked up one of their shows for next season. Today’s series is Station 19, the first responder procedural, which was spun off of Grey’s Anatomy. The latter has already been picked up for another season, even without Ellen Pompeo.

The Shonda Rhimes show is going through some changes behind the scenes next season. Krista Vernoff has stepped down as the showrunner, and she will be replaced by Zoanne Clark and Peter Paige. As a huge fan of Queer As Folk, I can’t wait to see what Paige brings to the table.

Station 19 joins The Rookie, Will Trent, The Good Doctor, Grey’s, and Abbott Elementary on the 2023-2024 schedule.

It turns out Grey’s Anatomy doesn’t need Ellen Pompeo
March 24th, 2023 under Shonda Rhimes, Uncategorized. [ Comments: none ]

(ABC/Nino Muñoz)

For years people said Grey’s Anatomy wouldn’t survive without Ellen Pompeo. But it has since she left the series earlier this month. And because of that, ABC renewed the medical drama for a 20th season, according to Variety.

That means it remains the longest-running primetime medical program in television history.

Personally, I can’t believe people are still watching. I gave it up a long time ago and never looked back.
