Seth MacFarlane reveals what he sleeps in!
August 27th, 2018 under Seth MacFarlane. [ Comments: none ]

For those of you who have wondered what Seth MacFarlane sleeps in at night, he showed us what he wears to bed. Sadly, he does not sleep in the nude. Instead, he sleeps in Dick Van Dyke pajamas. Why did he tell us this little tidbit, he said, “In the age of over-sharing, I am required by law to divulge this.”

He got a pair of them for his birthday in 2015 and he still sleeps in them almost 3 years later. Now, all we need to know is if he sleeps with a teddy bear like Ted. Although, I think that will need more a lot more explaining than the PJs.

Which is perfect for him because he is such an old soul. Thus, I can totally see him in this old school pajamas.

Cosmo’s second season is going to be epic
July 22nd, 2018 under Fox, Neil deGrasse Tyson, Seth MacFarlane. [ Comments: none ]

Even though Seth MacFarlane gives us shows, who some might say, dumb down America; he combats that by giving us one of the most brilliant shows on television that inspires kids to want to go to science. Not only that it reawakens our love for it. Something most of our science classes past elementary school do. At least it did for me even though I went to the same JHS as Neil deGrasse Tyson and probably had the same science teachers.

But it is not about me, I am just one small piece of sand in the universe and Cosmos: Possible Worlds makes me excited for what else is out there besides us. I cannot wait until the spring to see what else deGrasse Tyson is going to teach us about our universe in this Fox and NatGeo series. Because you know it is going to be fun. He has a great knack for making science interesting again. Even though he picked on poor Pluto.

The Simpsons goes ’70s cop show, Stewie gets help on Family Guy
March 18th, 2018 under Seth MacFarlane, The Simpsons. [ Comments: none ]

Tonight at 8p on Fox, The Simpsons back and Homer Simpson falls for an expensive painting at the museum. Sadly, it is being auctioned off and some billionaire bought it. Right after the auction the priceless art piece goes missing and Homer is the #1 suspect? Did he do it? Mr Manacek is on the case and he is like Mannix, Columbo and Kojak all rolled into one. He will do everything in his power to solve the mystery. The biggest one since who shot Mr Burns, which is about the same time that Mr Manacek’s show was airing.

Then at 9p, Stewie goes to see a therapist and this Family Guy episode is only about them. Stewie goes there to be analyzed, but turns out he analyzes the therapist instead. When the youngest Griffin is done, he realizes something about himself. He reveals a side of himself we have never seen before. That is the only reason to watch this episode.

I have seen every episode of the show, and this was my least favorite one. At least they tried something different. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn’t. To me this is a doesn’t.

Family Guy ruins Ghost

Family Guy has ruined a lot of TV shows and movies for me including Somewhere That’s Green from Little Shop of Horrors. Yesterday, they destroyed another ’80s movie’s iconic love scene and this time it was Ghost. You know that scene where Demi Moore molds some clay with Patrick Swayze to The Righteous Brothers’ Unchained Melody? Well, this time they took Moore out of the picture and used Peter Griffin as the clay, and I will never watch want to recreate that scene again. Is nothing sacred to Seth MacFarlane and the gang? Just be happy, I couldn’t find the clip where Peter and Patrick recreated the Chippendale’s audition number from Saturday Night Live. My eyes are still mad at me for watching that 5 times in a row.

Peter Griffin gets fired by three different directors on Family Guy tonight
November 5th, 2017 under Seth MacFarlane. [ Comments: none ]

Family Guy is back on Fox tonight at 9p and Peter Griffin gets fired not once, not twice, but three different times. Each time through the eyes of a different director.

In the first firing, it is done by Quentin Tarantino and there will be blood. Lots and lots of blood as this story is told in the style of Pulp Fiction and Kill Bill.

Next up, they go to hipster Wes Anderson. Before Griffin was fired, he was going to do a play at the quarry. Now that is off because he is out of work. But his family won’t let that happen. Will the curtain go up on his production?

Finally, the anthology ends with Michael Bay behind the camera. Much like his movies, I have no idea what was going on in this segment. There are explosions, scantily dressed women, Transformers and explosions. Just like all the other Bay films.

While this episode gets a standing ovation, there is also some sadness to it. It is Carrie Fisher’s second to last episodes and one of Adam West’s final ones. They did great work on this show and it is nice to see them still be part of it even after they are gone.
