Seth MacFarlane and Ariana Grande’s Carpool Karoake of Horrors!
August 22nd, 2017 under Ariana Grande, Seth MacFarlane. [ Comments: none ]

Apple Music picked up The Late Late Show’s Carpool Karaoke to series. Instead of having James Corden in the driver’s seat, they have several other celebs chauffeuring around musicians. Coming up Seth MacFarlane and Ariana Grande tour Hollywood while singing duets from Broadway musicals like Little Shop of Horror. Here is the two of them belting out the climatic ballad Suddenly Seymour like they were that Seymour and Audrey finally declaring their love for each other in that heartwarming scene. All while Audrey II sat in the backseat thinking how yummy their blood would taste!

While Grande gave a grand performance, she is no Ellen Green. But she has come the closest I have ever seen anyone woman who has tried to sing her part. Maybe Greg Berlanti should watch this Carpool Karaoke and cast Grande as Audrey instead of Rebel Wilson, who is so not the lead. Yes Grande is too young for the role, but the donut licker is a million times better than Rebel. And while they are at it, they also need to dump Josh Gad for another Josh as in Groban. They would be a better Audrey and Seymour than the two that they are talking to for the big screen remake that does not need to happen.

Sorry, Little Shop and Hair are my favorite musicals, so I am very sensitive whenever anyone tries to mess with them. And casting those two would totally be messing with the feel of the show. Rebel is no temptress, she is more cute than sexy. While Gad might be a nerdy, nebishy Jew, he is just not Seymour. At this rate they will probably cast Seth Rogen and James Franco as the Dentist and his patient who is a masochist.

OK, now I am pissed. Time to relisten to MacGrande sing Suddenly Seymour again to make me happy. And try to forget that Seth forever ruined Somewhere That’s Green for me thanks to what he did with the tune on Family Guy.

American Dad had an alien and a fish have sex yesterday!

Just when I thought I saw everything on television, turns out I did not. Yesterday, on American Dad, Klaus the fish and Roger the alien had sex several times in many different ways. I just do not know how to react because it is so unexpected and yet so freaking hilarious.

Which makes you wonder what it was like in the writers’ room when they came up with this episode and how much further they wanted to take it. Much further than they could have on Fox, but not as far as they would have liked to because it is on TBS and not Showtime. On that note, I am so happy the animated sitcom is on TBS because they get to take it to levels they never could have on the broadcast network. Levels, I am not always sure they should go to.

Family Guy has Peter Griffin-less epic fight scene next season!

It seams like almost every season of Family Guy, Peter Griffin gets into an epic fight. This upcoming 15th season, it is his kids Meg and Chris who are going to do the gun slinging. Actually that is the only thing they do not do in that scene. Either way, that moment all the rest are why we are still watching the show that was uncancelled and continues to go strong.

Family Guy will air 5 more episodes with Mayor Adam West

Adam West has appeared in over 100 Family Guy episodes. Even though he is no longer with us, he will still be heard in five more episodes. Entertainment Weekly spoke with EP Steve Callaghan, who told the magazine that his episodes will air as is because they are respectful to the beloved late actor.

The executive producer also said that they do not know how they are going to write off the Mayor of Quahog. Along with his untimely death, they are also working on how to deal with Carrie Fisher’s sudden passing last last year, who played Peter’s boss Angela. This is their third death, last season they dealt with the passing of Frank Sinatra Jr, who passed away in 2016.

Instead of ending this post on a sad note, here is what we can expect West’s finale episodes, “At one point, Mayor West comes into possession of the $1 bill as he is hover-boarding through town with a rat in his pocket. Mayor West riding a hoverboard with a rat in his pocket — that’s certainly something to look forward to…. Later in the season, Mayor West is called upon to preside over a ceremony for a group of millennials. It does not go well.”

Family Guy’s Brian and Stewie sing ’80s theme songs, lounge act style!
January 19th, 2017 under 80s, Seth MacFarlane. [ Comments: none ]

If you are like me and long for the day when television shows came up with catchy theme songs that got stuck in your head every week until the next episode? Well Seth MacFarlane gave you the cure for that fix. He had his boys Brian and Stewie sing some of the best show openers from back in the day when he was just Meg’s age. Yeah, I said Meg!
Anyways, listen to TV’s most popular talking baby and talking dog singing the Diff’rent Strokes, Growing Pains, Charles In Charge, Silver Spoons, Who’s the Boss?, Perfect Strangers, The Golden Girls and Family Ties themes like the Lounge act that they are. It is what the World needs today because I think brings us all together like Hands Across America did.
BTW I know this is old, but I wish would could turn back time so that tomorrow won’t happen.
