Jonathan Bailey was voted People’s Sexiest Man Alive, and there are a lot of reasons why. He is a gosh darn good dog dad, a triple threat, humble, funny, and sexy!
So you would think that after he got the title, he would be done proving himself. But he was not.
The Wicked star went to the place where the air is sweet, you know, Sesame Street. And while he was there, he hung out with Elmo. And he tickled his heart and ours with his encouraging words.
Just when I thought I couldn’t love anymore after seeing his performance in Wicked: For Good, he found a way to do just that. And now, I don’t know if I want to be Glinda, Elpheba, or Elmo. Oh, wait, I want to experience him as all three of them did!
Four generations of kids have been watching Sesame Street and have been singing along with Ernie as he sang Rubber Duckie in the bathtub to his rubber duck.
No matter how old that child gets, hearing that tune brings a smile to their face! And these days, we all need to smile.
So today, let’s celebrate the 55th anniversary of that childhood memory’s premiere, knowing that it will be delighting children for several more generations to come.
Star Trek: Strange New Worlds is not afraid to go to strange new worlds. They have already done a musical episode and a crossover with the animated Star Trek: Lower Decks. In season 4, they are going to become dummies, as in puppets.
And I am here for it! Granted, we just started the third season on Paramount+, so we will have to wait a while to see this episode.
Here is a fun fact about the episode: the puppets were created by Jim Henson’s Creature Shop, and it is directed by Jordan Canning, who also directed Fraggle Rock: Back to the Rock.
I used to think that Sesame Street is the happiest place on earth, but I was wrong. The happiest place on earth is when some of the residents from Sesame Street walk through the Jennifer Hudson Show Spirit Tunnel.
Elmo and Oscar the Grouch walked through the tunnel, and it was such pure joy! How much? Even Oscar the Grouch got into the happy spirit! I think I even saw him smile. But that might be because I was smiling!
PBS could not afford to produce new episodes of Sesame Street, so HBO Max (Is that what it is called these days?) saved it.
Then David Zaslav, who is known as C is for Cheap, lived up to his name and cancelled the educational series.
Well, today Big Bird and his friends got some G is for Great news! Netflix picked up the show for its 56th season.
Sesame Street’s reimagined 56th season will include the following new segments and format changes:
New ways to play along. Cookie Monster opens his very own Cookie Cart on Sesame Street. Will there be cookie chaos or a sweet treat with every adventure? Abby’s Fairy Garden is home to surprising and delightful magical creatures. What could possibly go wrong when Abby helps care for them?
To-camera moments. The characters speak directly to the viewers and invite them into the action—capturing emotions and interactions.
Animation overlays that highlight music, action, humor, and important story moments while adding visual excitement. Visual effects like wand sparkles, bubbles, and confetti will add a touch of anything-can-happen magic to the storytelling.
One 11-minute story. The longer format provides the opportunity to tell stories with even more character-driven humor and heart.
A new animated segment, Tales from 123 that takes viewers INSIDE the most famous apartment building in the world where they can discover the wacky and whimsical building that Elmo, Cookie Monster, and friends call home.
The return of fan-favorite episodes of Elmo’s World and Cookie Monster’s Foodie Truck.
New episodes will be released later this year in three separate batches.
