Fraggle Rock is back! So get ready to party with the Fraggles, Doozers, Gorgs, and Silly Creatures beginning January 21st on Apple TV+. No matter how old you are, you are still young enough to enjoy the singing, silly Muppets!
That is why I love Apple TV+ so much. They keep bringing back the happy things from my childhood and adapting them for today, like Snoopy, Harriet the Spy, and this show. I feel like a kid again, and don’t we need to have that pure happiness? Especially now? Watch the trailer, and don’t tell me you didn’t feel your ice-cold heart start to melt. I know mine did, and that is hard to do.
The Muppets are coming to Disney+ this fall with an all-new special for Halloween called The Muppets Haunted Mansion.
Our favorite furry friends will be joined by celebrity guests (I am rooting for Baby Yoda to join in on the fun) as “Gonzo is challenged to spend one very daring night in the most grim grinning place on Earth.”
The special will also include new music and spooktacular fun. I hope this is the first of many holiday specials we get from The Muppets on the streaming service.
Because of Josh Groban’s operatic voice, we think he is a classy guy. It turns out the singer loves trash. So much so, he is singing about it with Oscar the Grouch on HBO Max’s The Not-Too-Late Show with Elmo.
You know what, hobo chic works on the Grobs. I think he should make it his new look, and bring his new friend on the road with him (when musicians can start touring again). If they go on tour together, then Oscar the Grouch won’t be as grouchy. That is because he would be making a killing cleaning up all of the garbage left over at a Groban concert. What more does he want? What more do we want? And who knew that trash could sound as good as Groban makes it sound. That voice is far from trashy.
One of the ways we are going to get through the coronavirus is with a little from our friends. It is an important lesson, and who better to teach it to us than The Muppets. Therefore, they teamed up with James Corden and Reggie Watts On The Late Late Show yesterday to sing The Beatles’ classic song (that was made better by Joe Cocker) With a Little Help from My Friends.
Now I wish I was friends with Miss Piggy, Kermit, Animal, and all of the other puppets, including the furless one. Seriously, Corden looks just like one of them. Doesn’t he?
For 50 years, we have been hearing Cookie Monster singing C Is For Cookie, but yesterday he sang another well-known song with food in the lyrics.
Our favorite blue monster left the comforts of Sesame Street to go to a Cubs game in Chicago. Since he is a celebrity, they put him in the announcer’s booth. Then for the seventh inning stretch, he sang their anthem Take Me Out to the Ball Game with everyone in the crowd.
Just like when they were children, the whole crowd sang along with him. Actually, I was singing along too. I forgot how happy that tune makes me. Then again, it could be because I was singing it with one of my favorite people from my childhood.
