Josh Groban loves trash!
July 23rd, 2020 under HBO Max, Josh Groban, Sesame Street/Muppets. [ Comments: none ]

Because of Josh Groban’s operatic voice, we think he is a classy guy. It turns out the singer loves trash. So much so, he is singing about it with Oscar the Grouch on HBO Max’s The Not-Too-Late Show with Elmo.

You know what, hobo chic works on the Grobs. I think he should make it his new look, and bring his new friend on the road with him (when musicians can start touring again). If they go on tour together, then Oscar the Grouch won’t be as grouchy. That is because he would be making a killing cleaning up all of the garbage left over at a Groban concert. What more does he want? What more do we want? And who knew that trash could sound as good as Groban makes it sound. That voice is far from trashy.

James Corden gets a little help from his friends The Muppets
June 26th, 2020 under James Corden, Sesame Street/Muppets. [ Comments: none ]

One of the ways we are going to get through the coronavirus is with a little from our friends. It is an important lesson, and who better to teach it to us than The Muppets. Therefore, they teamed up with James Corden and Reggie Watts On The Late Late Show yesterday to sing The Beatles’ classic song (that was made better by Joe Cocker) With a Little Help from My Friends.

Now I wish I was friends with Miss Piggy, Kermit, Animal, and all of the other puppets, including the furless one. Seriously, Corden looks just like one of them. Doesn’t he?

Cookie Monster knows more than one song!
June 28th, 2019 under Sesame Street/Muppets. [ Comments: none ]

For 50 years, we have been hearing Cookie Monster singing C Is For Cookie, but yesterday he sang another well-known song with food in the lyrics.

Our favorite blue monster left the comforts of Sesame Street to go to a Cubs game in Chicago. Since he is a celebrity, they put him in the announcer’s booth. Then for the seventh inning stretch, he sang their anthem Take Me Out to the Ball Game with everyone in the crowd.

Just like when they were children, the whole crowd sang along with him. Actually, I was singing along too. I forgot how happy that tune makes me. Then again, it could be because I was singing it with one of my favorite people from my childhood.

Will these stamps show you how to get to Sesame Street?
June 25th, 2019 under Sesame Street/Muppets. [ Comments: 2 ]

Today’s Sesame Street is brought to you by the letters U-S-P-S. The first lesson is brought to you by the Count. Can you Count to 16? That is because that is how many stamps the gang got to celebate their 50th anniversary.

This is a huge treat for anyone who has been a fan of the show over the last half-century. Even for people who are not. Think about it this way, you get a bill with Big Bird, Bert, Ernie, Cookie Monster, Rosita, The Count, Abby, Herry Monster, Julia, Snuffleupagus, Guy Smiley, Telly, Grover, Zoe or Elmo’s face on it, it will sweep the clouds away. Seriously, how can you be an Oscar the Grouch if you saw his mug on an envelope?

The forever stamps are available now to own.

Sesame Street takes on Baby Shark doo doo doo doo doo doo.
June 20th, 2019 under Sesame Street/Muppets. [ Comments: none ]

Just when parents thought it was safe to go back in the water, Sesame Street did their own take of Baby Shark doo doo doo doo doo doo. With Abby doo doo doo doo doo doo. And Elmo doo doo doo doo doo doo. And of course the Cookie Shark himself, Cookie Monster doo doo doo doo doo doo. The good news is they got new lyrics. The bad news it is still the same melody. And it stuck in my head doo doo doo doo doo doo.

Crappy song doo doo doo doo doo doo. Ear worm song doo doo doo doo doo doo. Hate this song doo doo doo doo doo doo.

Where is a harpoon when you need one? You know that I think it about it. It is time for Syfy to resurrect Sharknado. They can call it Baby Shark-na-do do do do do.
