Fifty Shades of (Kermit the Frog) Green
October 6th, 2016 under Fifty Shades, Sesame Street/Muppets. [ Comments: none ]

Darth Blended blended scenes from The Muppets with the audio from the Fifty Shades of Grey trailer and neither will be the same again. Is there a form of counseling for this because I know I need and the Red Room won’t be enough for me this time.

Nick Jonas sings about fine shapes!
May 18th, 2016 under Jonas Brothers, Sesame Street/Muppets. [ Comments: none ]

Nick Jonas might’ve have gotten rid of his squeaky clean Disney image, but he’s still clean enough to sing a song on Sesame Street Street. The youngest Jonas Brother was joined by Cookie Monster, Bert and The Count as they sang about different shapes. For kids it’s all about pentagons and octagons, but for us adults it could be him singing about women’s bodies. Or am I just a sick person and I am the only one who thought that?

ABC closes the book on Castle and The Muppets!!!
May 12th, 2016 under Galavant, Ken Jeong, Nathan Fillion, Sesame Street/Muppets. [ Comments: none ]

Somewhere Stana Katic is doing a happy dance! Just weeks after she was fired from Castle, ABC cancelled the show!
My theory is ABC was paying attention to the online chatter about people despising the idea of the show going on without Beckett, and realized it wasn’t worth bringing it back. That and the pitch for next season must’ve been awful. I mean they just renewed the contracts of Nathan Fillion, Jon Huertas and Seamus Dever in the last few days, so they were seriously thinking of bringing it back. But at the last minute they said no to renewing one of their highest rated scripted shows. Something had to happen to make them change their minds so suddenly.
So I guess you can say the show is called Castle, but it can’t just go on with just Fillion. Ha ha ha ha ha ha!
Am I sad to see this show go? Not at all. The last few seasons have been horrible with this one being the worst by far. Thus, I am happy to say goodbye to this procedural this Monday night.
Team Stana!

UPDATE: ABC also cancelled the very disappointing The Muppets. Synergy couldn’t save the comedy and I am happy it didn’t. It was just The Muppets without any heart. Without that they were destroying everything they were built on. So good riddance. That and how dare they break up Kermit and Miss Piggy.

UPDATE 2: TV Line is reporting that Castle filed an alternate ending in case it got cancelled.

UPDATE 3: The fat lady sang because Galavant was cancelled. I loved that show. Even though I knew it was going to get cancelled, it still breaks my heart it won’t be back.

UPDATE: ABC picked up Dr Ken for a second season. This show didn’t have the best pilot, but every episode since then has been really funny. They learned how to write for the full cast and they all deliver brilliantly.

Gwen Stefani sings about being a good friend!
April 7th, 2016 under Gwen Stefani, Sesame Street/Muppets. [ Comments: 5 ]

Gwen Stefani is going to be on Sesame Street and she sings a called Be a Good Friend with the friendly neighbors. No Doubt, I think, there are a few people who might disagree about her singing a song like that? But I am pretty sure we don’t speak about it, right?

The Muppets says the L-word, while The People vs OJ tackles the N-word
March 1st, 2016 under FX, Sesame Street/Muppets. [ Comments: none ]

Tonight at 8p on ABC, it is time for the one hour season finale of The Muppets. Miss Piggy breaks her leg singing Single Ladies, and needs to surgery immediately to correct the problem. When the network brass say that they will do the show without her, Kermit convinces them to do it from the hospital. When the show is over and as she’s being rolled into the operating room, Kermit realizes his true feelings for Miss Piggy and declares that he loves her. And that is where the first episode ends.
Is this declaration too little, too late? We will find out on May, but as of now I say yes. Although, tonight’s first episode was one of the better ones during the show’s first season.

Then at 10p over on FX, it is time for the lawyers to debate about Mark Furhman (Steven Pasquale) taking the stand on American Crime Story: The People v. OJ Simpson.
Chris Darden (Sterling K. Brown) and Johnnie Cochran (Courtney B. Vance) battle it out over the N-word inside and outside of the courtroom. Their interactions are so intense, powerful and emotional, I would be surprised if Brown and Vance are not nominated for an Emmy for their performances on tonight’s episode alone. There is one line that is perfection tonight, and you will know what it is when it is said. You will press pause and then rewind to be like oh hell no!
American Crime Story: The People v. OJ Simpson has been excellent so far and tonight’s episode is by far the best!
