Tonight’s season premiere of Haven is of Biblical proportions!
July 15th, 2011 under Syfy. [ Comments: none ]

Haven is finally back on Syfy at 10p and after last season’s shocking finale. The second season premiere picks up exactly where it left off with that other woman claiming she is Audrey Parker. Is she really Audrey Parker or is the woman we got to know last season the real one?
As soon as the new Audrey comes town, strange things of Biblical proportions start to happen. Things like to the 10 Great Plagues of Egypt. Will they be able to find out who is the Troubled one causing the plagues before the first born sons (including Nathan) die or will Haven lose a lot of his its male population!
The new Audrey is not the only stranger to come to town, because there is someone else who came to Haven who has ties to one of the residents and what her secret is will leave you with your mouth open. But it won’t be as wide open as a shocking reveal that comes at the end of the show.
Let’s just say this season of Haven is going to keep you guessing with shocking reveal after shocking reveal and in between it all they are going to help the Troubled.
I am so happy that the show starring Emily Rose, Lucas Bryant and Eric Balfour is finally back on the air because it is the perfect mix of Syfy and soap opera; and who doesn’t want that on a Friday night. Seriously it is an enjoyable unpredictable show and there are not many procedurals on the air today that can say that.
So whether you have been watching Haven since the first season or the second season premiere will be your introduction to the show, make sure to watch it tonight and every Friday on Syfy at 10p. I promise you won’t be troubled by how good it is!

Alphas gets a Alpha+ from me!!!
July 11th, 2011 under Syfy. [ Comments: none ]

Alphas is going to debut on Syfy at 10p and this show will be your weekly must watch show! It is a like a cross between Heroes (when it was at its best) and the procedurals that are currently on the air but better.
Alphas is about a team of people who have special abilities and use them solve unsolvable crimes. David Strathairn leads the team. Ryan Cartwright (Bones) plays an autistic man who can see electrical frequencies and pin point where a cell phone call is coming from. Azita Ghanizada (General Hospital: Night Shift) plays a woman who can enhance one sense at the cost of the other ones and that can put her at risk. Laura Mennell has the ability for people to do what she wants and see what she wants, great power to use for bad but she does it for good. Malik Yoba (Girlfriends) can give himself an adrenaline rush, but that tires him out quickly and puts him at risk. And finally the newest member will come to them during a case.
Alphas is a well done enjoyable show that will have you guessing what will happen next up until the credits roll and then you are going to want to know what is going to happen next week.
When I got the screener, I wasn’t hot on the show. But once I watched it, I couldn’t tear myself away from it and there are not many pilots I can say about that. I seriously can’t wait to see what they do next because they set up some great scenarios for the future episodes!
Alphas is a great fit with Syfy’s two other Monday hit shows Eureka and Warehouse 13. So put on Syfy tonight at 8p and put away your remote until 11:30p because you are not going to need it until Alphas ends.

Eureka is back on Syfy tonight at 8p and they are starting off the second part of the fourth season with a bang. As in Fargo and Zane accidentally launch a capsule into space with them in it and now they are about to collide with the International Space Station. Will Jack and Allison be able to stop them before they crash in space or is this the last time we will see the two of on the show? Tune in to find out on a show that gets smarter with each episode!
Oh and did I mention there is a wedding? Can you compute who is getting married?
After Eureka, Warehouse 13 is back on Syfy at 9p and we find out if Myka will be back too. Well let’s just say there is a new member on the team and he will find himself in trouble during his first assignment. Will he make it to his second one or will Pete be going through partners all season long? Tune in to find out on a show that makes me wish I had their job even though it could kill me! You know because they have some really cool artifacts to play with it like on tonight’s episode where they play with an important part of music history.
Oh and make sure to watch the episode all the way through because someone who we thought was gone forever is back!!!
BTW if you have never seen either show, tonight is a good day start to watching them because they put the cool on hot summer Monday night!

Swim with Swamp Shark tonight!
June 25th, 2011 under Syfy. [ Comments: none ]

Tonight at 9p on Syfy a Swamp Shark is invading the water and you are going to chomp this movie up!
When a prehistoric shark is accidentally released into the swamp, he will start killing anything and anyone who comes in his path. First to go missing are the native alligators which catch the eye of restaurant owner Rachel McDaniel (Kristy Swanson) and she wants to stop whatever is causing them to disappear. What she doesn’t realize it is a killer shark. Thankfully Charlie (DB Sweeney), a mysterious stranger has come into town and he is going to help her catch whatever the creature is. While they are looking for the Swamp Shark, he is looking for food and eating as many as humans as he can.
When Rachel’s younger sister goes out for a day trip on a boat with some tourists who came to town for Gator Fest, she will need to be rescued when the boat gets stuck and the Swamp Shark comes her way. Will Rachel get to her in time of will her sister become shark food?
Besides just the people mentioned above there is a Gator Fest coming to town and just like all the other campy summer horror movies that have come before this one, the blood hungry Swamp Shark is coming their way. Will he get his stomach fill or will they finally one up this toothy fish? Tune in for one of the bloodiest endings in a really long time.
Well that and a fun movie that will have you laughing along with it. And if you want to enjoy it even more, here is a simple drinking game: Drink every time someone is eaten by the Swam Shark. You will be sh!t faced by the end of the film if you do!!!

Collects Hollywood Treasure and Haunted Collectors tonight!
June 1st, 2011 under Syfy. [ Comments: none ]

Tonight at 9p Syfy will debut Haunted Collector and you are going to want to collect this show. John Zaffris and his team go into people’s houses and try to find out what objects are haunting their house. While most shows like this look for ghosts, this one looks for objects. It is really cool to watch them try to find out if a typewriter (the thing that people used before computers to tpye letters) or dolls are haunting the people that now own them. In the first case they find a box under the house, and what is in it will explain why the residents have been experiencing the paranormal at their house. I really enjoyed this take on haunted shows and I know you will too.
After this show make sure to stay on Syfy to watch Hollywood Treasures. If you are like me and love old Hollywood, you are going to love this show! Jim Manning is contacted by people who have iconic items from Hollywood history that for different reasons are ready to part with them and put them up for auction. So Jim goes in, assess their worth and puts them up for auction. It is not only interesting to see what people have, like the Wicked Witch’s hat from The Wizard of Oz or dolls from James and the Giant Peach, but to see what they go for. For me this show is so enjoyable to watch because how often do you get to see Hollywood History in the present day. It is just mind blowing to me to see all of these items out of the movies and in people’s houses. Plus it is crazy how much people will pay for them. So sit back and watch to see what treasures they find this season and how much they go for.
